I reached out twice via Rightmove about a property on Dads Lane but received no response. I followed up with a phone call, left a voicemail, and still heard nothing. When I finally got through to the office, I was abruptly told that they’d received a high number of viewing requests and wouldn’t be booking anymore, then the call was rudely ended. If a property is no longer being actively shown, why not remove the listing or at least inform interested buyers? Poor communication and customer service.

I recently sold my apartment at The Hemisphere development in Edgbaston using Rice Chamberlains. I cannot recommend these guys highly enough, from the initial marketing of the property, through to arranging viewings with interested buyers and securing my sale, I found Ashley Lowe and Molly Smith to be excellent. The service was five star throughout, and unlike many other estate agents there was always someone available to deal with my enquiry in real time. The follow up with potential buyers was first rate leading to the eventual sale of my property. I am a fussy client but nothing was too much trouble for Molly/ Ashley, I cannot rate them highly enough. Dr Brown

Shoddy advert, incomplete spec,poor photography and little care. Call in was equally frustrating as they categorically mislead, ie, there is a dishwasher when there evidently is not, or come clean about issues with flat. They struggle with basics, poor presentation, service and care, esp getting out facts and being transparent. Unprofessional, lacking integrity, and wasting time, like dealing with a dodgy used car salesperson. Wont be using RC again for sales or lettings based on this experience alone. We need to out these unscrupulous players, clean up the game.

I cannot praise Rice Chamberlains enough for how they helped us through a recent purchase. We got the keys to our new flat on December 21, 2020. YES THAT'S RIGHT...just days before Christmas, in the middle of a pandemic and handling most of the purchase remotely from the USA. Molly, Ash, Chad and Sarah were great throughout - helping us find the perfect property (which took a while) but also keeping in touch in a non-intrusive way in between given our narrow search parameters. Molly in particular was great at helping us with solicitors who were slow at replying and really keeping the whole process moving along to a very quick timelines. This is the second time I have used Rice Chamberlain (Moseley branch) and both times they have been incredibly helpful, friendly and more than on the ball! I was selling a property which was going through just before Christmas and they helped so much with communication between all parties and solicitors. Five years ago I worked with Ashley and Sarah as a buyer, looking for a property in Moseley, and have recently instructed them to the sale of this same property as I was moving away from the area, with Ashley, Molly and Sarah all supporting us. We were able to secure a price for the property that we was happy with, and RC were organised in their approach to marketing and arranging viewings to the property. Unfortunately we were part of a fairly long and at times, difficult chain, and I was grateful to the Rice Chamberlain team for the significant chasing and progressing of the sale that they had to undertake with solicitors and other parties. At times I was concerned that the chain would collapse, but they worked hard to keep it going and eventually we make it into our new home unscathed! We wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to our friends. Thanks to the team for an excellent service again.

I purchased my flat through Rice Chamberlain a few years ago and there was no question that I would use them again when I came to sell the flat. The whole team are extremely helpful and always go above and beyond. Molly in particular did a great job of selling the flat and then keeping in regular communication, chasing solicitors etc. Moving house is supposed to be stressful but in both my experiences of buying and selling Rice Chamberlain were extremely positive and the experience wasn't stressful at all!

I bought a property on a buy to let and should have checked everything but I didn’t and that’s my fault. The particulars I was sent said the house was half double glazed when it was not. I got one of my builders in and there we found 2 big leaks and by the looks of it The property swas shoddily repaired (I’m also going to have to replace the fence as it’s fallen apart) and will cost me a lot to sort out even after paying the top end for this property. If you do buy a property through this estate agent double check everything as they are not honest. Edit: In response to the below. There is a difference between feelings and facts. The fact is you stated that the property was doubled glazed and it was not. It was fa act that the bathroom had smashed tiles on the floor that had to be replaced by me. It was a fact that there was no fence on the property and again I had to replace this. It was a fact that there were 2 major leaks at the property and the water had been turned off to hide this. The only feelings were trusting your staff and brochures that they were being honest and upstanding.

Rice Chamberlains went above and beyond to ensure that I had somewhere to live during the Covid-19 lockdown when my flat purchase took longer than expected. Ash was very easy to contact and kept me regularly updated on the purchase, and the rest of the team were very supportive in finding me somewhere to temporarily rent as a key worker. We purchased a property through Rice Chamberlains and dealt mostly with Ashley Lowe. Ash and the team at RC were personable, patient and very effective at keeping in touch with both ourselves and our solicitors. Ash was particularly helpful in providing liaison between us and the seller when there were complications which delayed completion and he may well have been instrumental in ensuring the successful completion of the sale, when the formal comms through the solicitors had reached what seemed to be an impasse.
