Above & beyond in a challenging situation

We live in the USA and initially rented our house in the UK through Jackson-Stops: we were delighted with their service in terms of professionalism, responsiveness, experience and level of expertise. However, with the pandemic affecting operations at so many levels, we decided for the fourth year of the rental to manage the property on our own. By the end of that year, we found ourselves in a difficult situation with our tenants once notice had been served. Despite having no obligation to help us, Paula, our initial letting agent, very kindly offered us some excellent advice on how to handle matters and then went on to facilitate the tenants' handover back to us without further upset. I couldn't have been more pleased with the way the matter was handled and would wholeheartedly recommend Paula and Jackson-Stops as straightforward, straight-speaking agents in whom you can safely place your trust.

Simple.. Professional... Successful.. What more could you want!

Fantastic service, simple process from start to finish. Lottie and the team were fantastic in both the sale and purchase of our new and old home. The purchase was not a straight forward due to complications with the new property but the communication between ourselves and the sellers were second to none!I would also like to note that the selling process was a piece of cake and with only a handful of selected and qualified prospects we had 4 viewings and two asking price offers in just 5 days. Chris and the team at Jackson-Stops found us our forever home in Dorking. The location, grounds and buildings were exactly what we had been searching for. The property was not on the open market, so we would not have found it without their introduction.The chain was long, the exchange was complicated and stressful, due to a building regulation issue at our end. There are good estate agents out there...!

Having experienced the worst of estate agency (many times !) it was a pleasure to experience the best for a change. The old saying of you get what you pay for is certainly true - except the terms agreed with Jackson-Stops were very reasonable for what you get.From the outset, dealing with Neil and the team at Woburn was very professional and reassuring and you knew you were in the hands of people who were very experienced and knew what they were about. Perfect House - Jackson Stops Exeter - Thank You !

In May 2020 we found our perfect house to realise our dream to relocate from Essex to Devon. Luckily for us, the property was on the market with Richard Addington and his team in Exeter. Whilst it may seem unusual for a purchaser to write a review their handling of this sale, that finally completed in early January 2021, would have been unlikely to have concluded without the team. An absent vendor living in Asia made the transaction a little bit more complicated on top of the COVID restriction placed on us all. Richard communicated regularly and arranged access for surveys swiftly and effectively. He managed time zones and communication within the short, but at times complex chain with ease. To summerise, Richard and his team are highly-capable with a wealth of experience. I would have no hesitation in recommending them to my family and friends.

An excellent experience from start to finish

Jane Bishop was wonderful throughout this difficult process (the sale of my late mother's house during lock down presenting both emotional and practical issues). She was easy to approach, she was quick to respond to messages, she went above and beyond in helping: for instance, she ensured that an agent went to the house weekly (even if there was not a viewing) to check on it for insurance purposes as it was an empty house. She facilitated the removal of some contents to local charities. And the house sale went through smoothly from one of the early viewings, achieving the asking price.
