After 6 months we still haven't got a washer door (we paid £800 extra of integrated washer) or undercounter lights which we also paid extra for. Our velux windows were installed incorrectly, and not been addressed, there are many more snags also, we email weekly, put in formal complaint but not had a response in 2 months

Our first experience of buying a new build was a bit of a disaster though in the end we were happy enough with the house. Nothing daunted, we opted for another new build and the experience with Avant has been far more positive, even thouugh we were delayed by Covid. After three months we still have a few snagging issues to be sorted but on the whole are very pleased with our new home.

We have been delighted with the quality of the build. We had a small snagging list the the onsite team went above and beyond attending to them and the customer service team have always responded very timely and have always been very helpful.

Almost 2 Yesrs on and still have unresolved issues. Poor workmanship, terrible after sales being passed from pillar to post, dealing contractors ourselves, no shows,more poor workmanship and what seems like a complete lack of interest in customer satisfaction. This company is all about the flash and the sales then drops you from a great height.

435 days later!!!!!Just in case you’ve missed my previous reviews, I thought I’d post an update.I’ve lived in my house 435 days, and I still have day 1 snags!!! Not small snags either! Avoid Avant Homes! Just read these reviews! You’ll note the good reviews are those of great sales teams and nice friendly sales staff… this is true, almost unanimously. The horrors begin when you move in! Avoid!

Love the house and layout BUT it’s been built terribly bad. The windows are shocking the house is freezing and there’s a system in what they don’t know how it operates leaving us with no extraction in any bathrooms or kitchen since last February. The wall will end up going mouldy. Terrible builder who do not care about customers.

Although the sales and small snagging experience was generally positive, the roads on my estate (barley gate) are unfinished still after years. Multiple owners have complained to Avant ref this yet still no timescale

We are committed to hearing from our customers and taking their feedback seriously.It is my understanding that the reason the roads and remaining footpaths at Barley Gate are not completed is due to some issues with the sewers. However these issues have been noted and have been passed on to the relevant people to take further steps. Apologies if this has not been communicated to you and other residents. Terrible company, terrible customer service. Once you have parted with your money, they are no longer interested. Be prepared to have correspondence ignored and snags outstanding for months. Sub par finishes to internal and external finishes and the general estate including roads and shared spaces. Steer clear.

We had some really difficult problems with solicitors and Avant went above and beyond to help us. The site manager ian was very informative on our new home demo and the sales Manager( Tom eames ) has been incredibly helpful. Our new home looks fabulous and we are all round very pleased.

Poor build quality. Terrible customer service. Tell you they’ll turn up on X date to resolve an issue and don’t show. Tell you a pack of lies when you’re looking to buy. Don’t manage the estate when they’re contractually obliged to (grass cutting, repairs etc). Absolute shambles of a company. Avoid at all cost

The best way to deal with Avant, is too assume everything is a lie. 7 years to surface a road, constant fight over ground maintenance. Endless lists of snagging, with a standard ‘home owner’s responsibility’ even when under guarantee. 7 years on, still uncovering dodgy wiring, repairing leak, bodged gutter… the list is endless!

Live near their estate in Wynyard and the public areas are a mess. The poor residents have been forced to maintain the area so their children can play. Been told it’s their responsibility as the site has not been adopted yet. Very sad as the estate could have been a great place to live.
