Amy the Sales & Lettings director…

Amy the Sales & Lettings director actually takes the time to speak with clients! She’s knowledgeable & even told me which of my portfolio not to sell yet as I wouldn’t achieve the correct money. All the other agents I spoke to told me to put them all on, which is obviously in their interest and not the best advice for me as a client. Amy advised Ashbrookes can manage works to get my property up to the best standard to sell & where my next purchases for Holiday let’s should be. Excellent knowledge. Never spoken to such an informed estate agent. Thank you Amy!!!

This agency is absolutely uninterested in solving any issues you face. Every complaint is met with a generic “contact the landlord” or a hello “sorry to hear that”, never any real action. They leave all tenant disputes unsolved, letting people suffer emotionally and mentally while they look away. When it comes to your deposit, be prepared, they will try every excuse in the book to keep it. They completely fail to explain the moving-out process, so you get charged extra for days you never even stayed. Avoid this agency and look for a better one. Don’t put yourself through what so many others have suffered. Choose wisely.

Ashbrookes is the best apartment agency I have ever worked with. Their team is highly professional, knowledgeable, and responsive. They went above and beyond to help me find the perfect apartment for my needs and budget.I was especially impressed with how quickly and efficiently they were able to help me. I contacted them on a Monday and was able to move into my new apartment by the following Friday. Absolutely fantastic service from Ashbrookes from start to finish. Harj (apologies if the spelling is wrong!) showed us the rental property & was friendly, non judgmental & informative. Getting deposit refund is very hectic and slow from this agents, it is also filled with a lot of fraudulent activities. I stayed in Room 106, 1 Albert terrace. On moving out of the room, I reported a damage to the chair which I opted to pay for. There was no other damage to the property and the room was cleaned when I moved out. This people collected 137 pounds from my deposit stating that 37 pounds was for cleaning ( I have a video of the cleaned room before I moved out), and 100 pounds was for the damaged chair and wardrobe. The chair is fair enough but the wardrobe was like that when I moved in. I even put up a complaint about it. Everyone should just be very careful dealing with them.

I stayed in the apartment for more than a year and to be honest, I wouldn't recommend this apartment to anyone especially the flat I stayed in. Firstly, all the issues I complained to in regards to my flat were completely ignored. The sitting room window and bedroom window were licking and this damaged alot of my property. I called in emergency for this to be fixed and they completely ignored me. They are just after the rent of their tenant and don't really care about their stay.

Before i started uni i was worried about finding suitable accommodation but after finding Ashbrookes and speaking to the staff they managed to find me exactly what i needed with my specific requirements. They helped through the whole process until i moved in and even after that. The room looked brand new and i have no problems or criticisms. i only had one issue while staying with them but that was sorted almost instantly after letting them know . This is by Far the WORST agency that I have ever dealt with. They Lied to my son that a Car Parking Space came with the accommodation. Instead, he had to park around the back where barely 1 Car could fit. They did not inform my son that after he graduated, he would have to pay the remaining Council tax for 3 months till the end of his tenancy agreement totalling over £400. At the end of my sons tenancy, the agency informed him that he was upto date on all his payments and everything was fine. Only after 3 weeks, did they tell him that they were only paid 11 months rent, and that they had made a mistake in calculating. My son, who had now vacated the room, was then also told he would lose his £250 deposit money due to the room being left damaged and dirty. We made sure that the room was as we found it if not better yet, the agency insisted he would forfeit his deposit due to cleaning, damage and redecoration costs. However, when they claimed the £250 money back from the holding company, they did so under the pretense of 'Rent Arrears' !!! This is blatantly wrong for them to do so, as they claimed otherwise, then why claim as Rent Arrears ??? They have lied to us time and Again and made mistake after mistake, and now they wrongfully pursued us both (as I am his Guarantor) to pay the money back in full. My son has made them an offer to pay monthly as soon as he starts his new job in January 2024, but they now want the FULL AMOUNTS in one go. How can an unemployed person afford to pay them, when they have failed to provide any evidence of the alleged damage they claim, and they will not allow him or me speak with the landlord either. I highly recommend that you do NOT take this accommodation through this agency and even the other tenants have expressed their disappointment and dissatisfaction at how bad this agency actually is. I give this agency 0 out of 5 stars as they do not reply to emails or phone calls, and just a standard narrative that they have. NEVER AGAIN !!!

I had a very bad experience recently. I had a tenancy for a two bhk property at a rent of 475 per room and paid a holding deposit 560. The most important point is to note that the entire house was a mess and all the furnitures were damaged. Due to the bad electrical circuits the power went off frequently and i had to suffer from the loss of my laptop.when i complained about the furnitures there the landlord came and put some old and damaged ones .Customer service was entirely disappointing . And now they are reluctant to give the deposit back.
