Harry Payne has been handling my rent search which changed from flat mate search to solo one . I cannot thank him enough for all his effort and time to help having my new flat. He has been very proactive and always been responsive for all my questions and requests . He guided me which is important , the market is crazy and my last search rent was 4 years ago , he helped me understand the current situation and what would be best etc. I reached out to him around 8th April and he got me a property deal by 11th. The process for getting all signed up and being sealed took a few days only and he helped all way throughout . He kept me posted about each steps and been helping me through some questions I also had during the process. I really appreciate that . I recommend highly to use the agency it's been a great experience. Thank you very much Harry for the great job .

Isaac was absolutely amazing - we had the absolute best experience with Jackson-Stops. As students and recent graduates we were finding it so difficult navigating the rental market for the first time. After having such bad experiences with so many other horrible & pushy estate agents, we nearly lost all hope - but Isaac literally came to the rescue and helped us find the loveliest new home! From the very first viewing he had such a great attention to detail with the properties and was so welcoming, all the places we saw were super high quality. We had never done this before so had lots of questions and were really worried but Isaac took so much time and care explaining everything, being fully transparent and making sure we felt safe and secure with our decisions and contract, and never feeling pressured. He was super proactive and always went above and beyond to help us through every stage. Jackson-Stops are doing something different than the rest of the estate agents. The process from the get go was so organised. We were treated with such kindness and professionalism, and like actual human beings trying to find a home, not just a number on the system. Jackson Stops in Newmarket were absolutely faultless from our initial meeting with Ed and Lottie, the marketing of our property, to the completion of our house sale.They know the market very well, always keep in touch with updates and are constantly searching to match your home with the right people. Lottie, Kelly, Sam and Tony to name a few were all great but Ed was outstanding. He is very approachable and goes above and beyond to keep everything moving along for everyone involved. My nightmare thanks to Jackson Stops

UPDATE - thank you to the chairman of Jackson Stops for calling me. Unfortunately leaves me even more frustrated. Not willing to reimburse me for to not delivering our contract but an admission that processes will be reviewed going forward…… I employed Jackson Stops to let my home to an honest, trustworthy, professional individual. I am not a career landlord but needs must whilst I worked away and I trusted the experience of the agent and that my verbal instructions that were met with many assurances would be delivered. I went with this business as had great service when they sold my property but the sale unfortunately collapsed so I felt duty bound to give them the business on the lettings side. The organisation seemed professional and has a great reputation in the area. I was explicit in my instructions and this was met with many assurances. The tenant stopped paying rent 2 months into the tenancy and although helpful at first, Jackson Stops have turned their back on my predicament and ‘closed the file’ . The tenant was actively recommended and championed by the agent whilst others were discounted. The agent wrote he ‘expected the references to come back perfectly’ even though at that time they hadn’t been referenced. I now realise huge red flags weren’t picked up on the applications, information that only the agent had. Now I have sight after the fact, I am wondering how this ever got passed an experienced Director of the business. Perhaps due to the preconceived idea the tenant was ‘ a nice young woman ‘ and ‘perfect’ . As they got paid but didn’t achieve what we’d agreed and are wholly responsible for my financial and emotional stress, I reached out to JS to give them an opportunity to do the right thing. I asked for a gesture from them to help with the mounting costs to recover my home and was flabbergasted to a polite but firm refusal. I am now 6 months into this nightmare with only Jackson Stops ( and the non paying tenant) benefitting from the whole horrid situation. I was told by the Director responsible that Jackson Stops have never had a situation like the one I face. Perhaps this has led them to complacency and why the obvious flaws in the applications weren’t picked up. I accept JS used a third party to reference and I was privy to the ‘pass’ document but that was all we had, that and being led by the agents recommendation. Him being the only one who had met the applicant and the only one with sight of all information. In a recent conversation the director admitted he had noticed potentially fraudulent information had been given. Had he shared this knowledge, we wouldn’t have progressed. I go back to my instructions, I required an honest, trustworthy, professional tenant. There is copious information in the public domain on this individual, again that only the agent had access to at that time that suggested the risk was high my instructions and a happy outcome for their client (me) was not going to be achieved. I maintain that JS were duty bound to give me all the information, regardless of the positive reference result. Beware!! Ask questions, don’t be swayed by a ‘pass’ based on the most basic of checks and don’t allow the agents opinion to sway you as even though you expect due diligence and impartiality, this particular agent may not deliver that for you as they certainly didn’t for me.

Can't recommend highly enough

I was looking for a new estate agent April 23 for a property that I lease. After speaking with Will Jordan at the Alderley Edge branch I knew they were the right company for me. Will was friendly, knowledgeable & is always available if & when I need advice. Unlike my previous estate agent where I got passed from pillar to post & to be quite frank they had become very complacent & were not looking after my best interests. I can not recommend Jackson Stops highly enough. So if you are looking for a change I can assure you, you won't be disappointed. Nearly a year later I can still say it was the best thing I've ever done.

Brilliant service from Jackson Stops

I can recommend Jackson Stops knowing the service i have received over decades has been brilliant. The relationship with Anthony Jevons at the Jackson Stops Hale office is built on 30 years of buying and selling property through Anthony and his Jackson Stops colleagues at the Hale and Chester office. The professionalism shown by Jackson Stops has been brilliant on each property sale and purchase, and i wouldn't consider using another estate agent for a UK property. One of the properties that they sold for me near Chester via Stephen Cheshire in Jackson Stops Chester office was sold for £170,000 over the asking price, and the property they sold for my mother in February 2025 in Bowdon sold in just one day after signing up Jackson Stops to sell the property, and there were an additional 4 people due to view it the following day!!!

Jackson Stop has been absolutely fantastic with our move especially as this move was particularly difficult. The patience and professional attitude was very much appreciated. Anthony was always calm when things seemed to be chaotic, and Tracey would continually smile and accompany potential buyers with enthusiasm and understanding.They always showed possible buyers around the property and would return feed back from those viewings. We purchased a house earlier this year through Jackson-Stops. Rosanna, who, was our first point of contact was exceptional throughout the whole process, from viewing until the day we completed. She was professional, kind and managed to guide us through a tricky few months and reassure both myself and my husband, with the house sale (which took much longer than anticipated). The icing on the cake was a lovely gift bag on the day we moved in, which was completely unexpected but a really nice touch. Over the many years it has always been a pleasure to speak to Margaret who is very helpful and pleasant and has a great deal of experience and knowledge of matters relating to property repairs and maintenance.
