GoogleIf i would have posted this review earlier I would have given 1 star but after a conversation with Rebecca Howland I will give credit where its due as she made me feel listened to and we communicated through an issue and apologies were made which helped the situation as I respect when a company can admit when things have been wrong and tell me ways they are going to improve on their service e.g retraining for staff. However I cannot give you a 5 star review as I'm sure you understand the issues we have faced should never have happened and have been to put it lightly, unprofessional. We had a staff member from the estate agent (who I will not name) telephone me and speak to me in an aggressive, confrontational and very unprofessional manner, about something that was not at all involving Howland Jones as a company and felt more of a personal attack. I have dealt with the person in question a few times and have persistently felt talked down to as a tenant. Whether you are a tenant, landlord, perspective buyer or seller, you should be treated with respect and not like a lesser citizen as we are all users of your service... Your tenants may be looking to buy/sell one day and will bare in mind how they have been treated and who they do business with. However, assuming this is an isolated incident I cannot let a bad experience with one member of staff effect my whole view of the company, especially when Rebecca called and was so lovely, understanding and apologetic. We have had several issues throughout the tenancy with repairs that needed doing in the house, in particular a leak that at one point also effected the electrics. Although it was the landlady who seemingly caused delay to the repairs (so far been waiting 11 months), this situation was out of the estate agents hands however I cannot say whether Howland Jones could have done more for us than this and perhaps communication could have been better in letting us know whether or not these repairs were or weren't going to happen. It seems we were just left and forgotten about. At this point I have mixed feelings whether I would use this company again but we still have our end of tenancy check out to complete, at this point I may have more thoughts and will update my review.

Many of our landlords today were indeed tenants of ours previously and we take pride in building strong, respectful and healthy relationships. GoogleI am very pleased with Howland Jones as my estate agents, they went over and above any expectation you can have! I had an extreme difficult house to sell where literally everything that could go wrong went wrong and they guided me through every step on the way, staying positive and really making a difference. My case was handled by Rebecca who held everything together, communicating with buyers, lawyers, plumbers, drainers, water provider, council,... etc. until we finally got it over the line! I can't recommend and thank her enough!

FacebookThey were fantastic in every way and went over and above any expectations you could have for an estate agent! I had an extreme difficult house to sell where everything that could go wrong actually went wrong. Without Rebecca‘s positive attitude guiding me through every hick up on the way and communicating with the buyers, lawyers, council, drainers, plumbers, council, water provider, etc etc I would not have been able to get it over the line. She also removed weeds before viewings just to help me out, you really can’t get this care anywhere else! I can’t recommend and thank her enough!

GoogleHowland Jones were consummate professionals from start to finish of selling our home. We dealt mainly with Jon Howland and Rebecca McDonald, and they made what could have been a stressful process of selling a home as easy as possible. We had moved abroad before the sale of our house went through, so we wanted to make sure we chose an estate agent that we could depend on. We interviewed a number of estate agents, and Jon stood head and shoulder above the rest in terms of friendliness, professionalism and knowledge of the area. We were given constant updates during the selling process, which was crucial after we had moved abroad. Howland Jones provide a five star service and I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending them to anyone who wants to buy or sell a home.
