I have only had very positive experience of Oakwoods while buying this property. There was great communication from them and they effectively liaised with the seller to ensure that the purchase went as smoothly as possible. These are difficult times and at all times they followed the requirements to keep everyone safe. Just wanted to say a big thank you to Amy Davies for her patience and for not giving up on my nightmare referencing, no thanks to an accountant that was allergic to answering the phone or emails to provide us with the last piece of paperwork that we needed I was pestering her and Oakwood like mad because I was worried I was going to lose the chance to get the property, but she always took time out to take my calls and even helped me get all the documents uploaded correctly by doing it herself when technically she didn’t have to, and managed to secure me my property. Friendly and professional from start to finish and I can’t wait to move back to Ramsgate and be in my new place. Thanks again Simon Fisher

The lettings team are incredibly helpful for first time private tenants; Lorraine was an integral part of us getting what we really wanted and made sure we understood every step, Leonie (pre-maternity leave) was lovely and bubbly which made it feel less intimidating when house checks were due and we cannot fault accounts which have been seamless. We have been renting through Oakwoods for almost 2 years now. Sometimes contact is a little slow since Leonie's mat-leave when asking about issues or whatever else but nothing too dire. The only thing we would question is the deposit requested for a pet which is half one month's rent which is 4 x what we actually paid to adopt our two cats!

I would highly recommend Your colleague Alex , via Enquires made to your office by myself I spoke to Alex who was polite and took the time to listen to my needs and searched through the properties available whilst I was on the phone . He then set up a prompt viewing for me . He was very approachable , very friendly and made me feel at ease and he was honest. He was funny and I could tell he was a nice person within a few minutes and that he would genuinely try his best to help me find my new home .

Absolutely great service from Adam Spickett, Craig Durrant and the team. We had our flat with another agent which didn’t work out. I remembered when Oakwood first opened many years ago and thought I’d try and see if they were any good. Being overseas made it harder to find someone we trusted as once bitten twice shy. However, from the moment as a team they took the the time to appraise, skyped us at a time convenient to us, listened to our hopes for a sale, gave us constructive feedback and put it on the market made our journey smooth and full of energy. We sold well within their estimated time and the sale progressed in the background with the handelling it at our request. We couldn’t thank the team enough for their professionalism, genuine care and flexibility to get us a great price and easy sale. We without question would recommend.

I literally don’t have words to describe how wonderful and seamless my experience has been with moving to Oakwood and re-renting my property. It went from a trashed apartment, whilst being managed by another agent, to Kate taking me on, lending me a wonderful handy man, one viewing and a new tenant in around a week! Don't bother wasting your time to request viewings on a property if you claim any kind of legacy benefits and don't have a guarantor. Was told because I'm in receipt of DLA (for my disabled child) I'd need a guarantor. This was before she even asked for my income, my savings (which I have plenty of) excellent credit, a good landlord reference etc. Just straight up said I wouldn't pass referencing. When I questioned whether they can do that (because it IS discrimination) she said "no because we can still offer you a viewing, you just wouldn't get the property". So it's okay to waste my time but it's not discrimination? 🤔 She also told me that all local letting agents will have that same criteria as they use the same referencing company - not true and also, i have not needed a guarantor so far because I have a decent income, savings and clear credit.. Just another unethical and immoral letting agent that are part of the housing crisis problem.
