The process of buying and selling is a nightmare... who knew, everyone it would seem, and if you don't know you soon find out, Bairstow Eves, Mansfield Woodhouse were our agent, who were great, keeping us informed with info they had, and more importantly info chased and pushed for, sometimes it would seem working a lot harder for us than others in the process, and of course this review would not be complete without the upmost praise for the staff, especially Penelope, who without, I think we would still be in our former house

We used Bairstow for buying our first home and we also used all their internal services i.e their solicitors (countrywide) and their internal mortgage advisor. The estate agents, especially Penelope from the Mansfield Woodhouse branch was brilliant, she answered all of my questions promptly (even the ones I felt silly for asking) and kept me updated every time something progressed. When Penelope wasn’t in the office or having a well deserved break all her colleagues were just as helpful and would help me as much as they could. They were all super cheerful and professional when attending our viewings with us. We were provided with an account for their online portal which was easy to use and very informative on what steps had been undertaken and what was left to do. Going internally definitely sped the process up. Buying your first home/any new home is probably one of the most stressful things you’ll ever do in your life but Bairstow made it 10 times less stressful, all team members were super super helpful and I couldn’t of wished for better customer service. What a team. I cannot speak speak highly enough of the full team based at Mansfield Woodhouse. Led by Jordan and ably assisted by Verity and Penelope, but our outstanding star was Troy. We had a few hiccups along the way, none of which was the estate agents fault but due to potential buyers changing their minds. At each step, Troy picked us up with his positivity and "can do" attitude. Nothing was ever too much trouble and he was the utmost professional in all the dealings we had with him. We were in the process of selling two properties and purchasing one and Troy handled all three transactions superbly and through to a smooth completion. Thank you so much Troy for the time, calmness and laughs we had a long the way. We couldn't have got through it unscathed without you. We lost our father and got a few estate agents out to quote us for his property. Jordan was one of our favourites with another man. However we ended up picking the other company. The other company however was the wrong choice for us. They had too many houses on their books and our property never felt like a priority with them. So once our contract ended we contacted Jordan and went with Bairstow Eves, as Woodhouse branch is smaller so we thought more attention would be given to our property and we wasn't wrong. Jordan came and sorted paperwork out straight away. He got the picture done and uploaded onto rightmove all within 24hours. Once he did this we was passed onto Troy. We can not fault Troy at all. He was always friendly and would even reply to our emails after close of business instead of making us wait til the next day. We sold the property pretty fast with them, within a month. Then as everything was going through the second lockdown happened. This worried me as Jordan informed us he was now working on his own in the office. However I shouldn't of been as Jordan knew how close we was to getting our completion date so he worked extra hard for us. This is also something they do, they dont just sell the property then leave us to just deal with our solicators. They would chase the buyer to chase his solicators when our solicitors couldn't get hold of them, so they went the extra mile for us. This is an excellent team that help each other out when needed without question. Even Verity passed on our messages fast when Troy was on lunch and was always friendly to us. Jordan and Troy knew this was a hard process for us and they treated us like family. They where just fabulous and I would always recommend this company to anyone that asks. Showing my maiden name not married- incase penelope has no idea who this is (married is Williams). Anyway...it has been one hell of a journey selling our home through no fault of these. Through difficult situations, poor communication with our vendors solicitor & chain collapsing Penelope was there metaphoricaly holding our hand- being a councillor & agent all in one: without her we wouldn't have kept our buyer letalone our sanity! Penelope has been there to rant to, advocate for us & go way above and beyond to help us, she has never turned us away, always responds promptly & in the rare moment that she doesn't know / legally can't provide an answer she finds us someone who can. There is not enough prosecco in the world to show our appreciation, & whilst i never plan to move ever again: should we, then we will be tracking down Penelope to do it again (if she will have us).

The competition was stiff to win the contract to sell my property but I made the right decision. From the first valuation to the final completion the service was excellent. Jordan was a straight talking individual who saved me a lot of money and time by telling how to get my own energy efficiency certificate and the team in the office were also excellent. Troy deserves a special mention! There are a lot of estate agents to choose from and at first there may not seem much to choose between them so personal recommendations are crucial. Am very grateful for Simon, Niall and Reo at the Mansfield Woodhouse branch for helping me sell my late parents' home.
