Unfortunately I can't write a good review. It was difficult to contact my agent by phone. She didn't follow up on questions I asked. Questions between me and the buyer were not answered I eventually had to contact the buyer directly. When our agent went on holiday when we were supposed to exchange contracts all parties had no communication, none of my messages were answered and nobody else was left to deal with our case in her absence. Really, not good service.

My husband and I have had a terrible experience with another estate agent. We was very cautious when speaking with Express Estate Agency. Chantelle was very reassuring, very kind and knowledgeable. She understood our previous problems and was not pushy at all.

Initially very keen and promised they could sell my house within 30 days, two months later and despite dropping the house price considerably on their advice not a single viewing. I advised them I was not happy and gave them the months notice I was advised was in the contract. I have now received several phone calls telling me if I put the house up for sale with any one else in the next 16 weeks they are entitled to commission despite finding zero buyers. I tried initially to be amicable but after the third call telling me about their unfair contract I decided it was best to warn other potential customers of their sharp practice . I am quite disgusted and more than annoyed at both the lack of service or any viewings and the only concern they seem to have to is get monies they are not entitled to as they have not provided the service they promoted . As for the cash off it was 30% below the market value of the house when it finally came . My advice is use another estate agent

I would not recommend this estate agency at all. It was very hard to get in contact with them. For a while the phone would just ring and then cut off, no answer phone message or anything and when you did manage to get in contact with them, the person we were supposed to be dealing with was never there and never phoned back. He didnt answer emails. Our purchase in Doncaster became very fraught and our contact at Express (Robert Peake) did little to help throughout the experience (which started in June and ended yesterday). Do yourself a favour and just don't use them.

YellWould have liked messages to be left
Rebecca was helpful as she kept us up to date with what was happening. However as I work shifts I was often unable to answer her calls, I do think it would have been useful to have had a message left as this would have helped me keep up to date without having to call her back on another day.

I was advised to sell my property for less than asking price, based on the first offer from the first viewing. I have since had offers over asking price. I wasn't happy with explaining how I wanted to negotiate the price. I was left many voicemail messages but never told what it was regarding. When I would call back, she acted like she didn't know why I was calling!Overall the service was good but the process was frustrating

GoogleAn absolute shambles of an organisation, 1 star is even too high of a rating. I’m now over 9 months into trying to purchase a chain free property and now express will not answer any phone calls or reply to any emails. Do yourself a favour and avoid this company like the plague. I have lodged 2 official complaints around 3 months apart and neither has been acknowledged. The so called sales progression team are completely incompetent and unfit to be working in the customer service industry. Conveniently the only number they answer is the new enquiries line, but this is just a call centre somewhere and has no real connection to the company itself. If you value your sanity and want a speedy process, then avoid this company at all costs.

GoogleMarketed a house as a 4 bedroom when it was a three at most. No floor plans, so you can't even get a feel for the lay out or size of rooms unless you view. Took an age to arrange a viewing, only to discover it was badly marketed and totally unsuitable for our needs. Utter waste of our time and that of the guy that owned the property. Will steer clear of any other properties advertised by them, and wouldn't dream of putting ours on with these people. You get what you pay for!

GoogleThey sold my house and charged me 1.25%. The so called sales progressor was so hard to contact by both my buyer and myself, and whenever I commented on it, she was very defensive and never offered even an apology. If you are paying as much as I did, over £7k including VAT, you may as well go to a high street agent as you'll get much better service. In fact I got more support and information from the agent that sold to us. In summary, avoid this estate agent or negotiate a price that represents the service you'll get.

GoogleWe had no choice but to deal with Express Estate Agents while we were the buyers. We've bought and sold several houses over the years and these guys are by far the worst we have encountered. A staggering amount of time had to be spent chasing them to do anything at all and they go absent at the key moments like exchange and completion. They are no cheaper than a traditional estate agent and they are anything other than express. Our chain free purchase took more than 6 months from offer to completion. Best avoided and don't get lured in.
