Friendly helpful staff

Have had the pleasure of living in a newlands home for almost a year and cannot recommend the team enough they are all very polite, friendly and helpful. I have spoke to Bev and Holly as they had a model of the street in the sales office which my son fell in love and kept wanting to see it and wanted it, upon speaking to Bev and Holly they were able to speak to the team and my son was given the model when they no longer needed it. 2 of the builders brought the model to our house and didn’t hesitate to help and put it where we wanted it. Bev and Holly were so patient with my son and were always happy to see him and never felt rushed or unwelcome. The houses are beautiful and have had no issues with the property very well built.

Exceptional Customer Service ***** five stars

I needed help finding an original Building Control certificate and I had tried lots of other avenues. I spoke to Jan at Customer Service and explained problem. She was so patient and her tenacity shone through and she found it. This means with this information my daughter can now exchange on a house in London. My deepest thanks she needs a medal for her help. Great customer service thanks to her and the team

Visit to Pear Tree estate

We were a small group of people interested in planning issues and representing the Cheltenham Civic Society. We asked for a guided tour of the new Pear Tree estate on the edge of Cheltenham because we were interested in their claim to be building carbon neutral homes . We were received by two members of the Newland's team, who spent the best part of a hour with us, guiding us around and answering our many questions (although we were unable to enter any homes). Chris and Craig were courteous and well informed, especially about the measures adopted to build carbon neutral homes. We were impressed by what we saw, and wished more developers would commit to building to the same high energy standards.

Excellent service

I met with Charlotte to discuss a potential purchase of a plot in their new development The Limes. In the end this plot was not for me however I will be waiting for a different one to be available later in the year. Charlotte was really lovely and extremely helpful in understanding my needs and certainly made me feel comfortable in wanting to purchase from Newland Homes. Also, thank you to Alison the sales manager who I spoke with a few times and was also extremely helpful.

Newland Homes Engagement With Local Residents

Newland Homes have just completed a new development (White Poplars) behind our small estate in Storey Mews Malmesbury. The access to the development was through our road. From the start the Site Manager Simon Cooper engaged with residents and throughout the 2 year development period a relationship was developed that was very much appreciated. Activities likely to affect residents was always notified in advance and it was a pleasure to work with Simon and his team.

The whole process of buying a Newland homes has been smooth and stress free. From the moment I met Holly and Bev at Great Oaks I knew I was doing the right thing, they were totally honest and at no point did they ever try the hard sell. I know there are a few issues with the house but it is how they are dealt with and how I have been dealt with that makes all the difference.i would have no problems in recommending Newland homes as a company and my new home is amazing.

Everyone was incredibly welcoming to us...

Everyone was incredibly welcoming to us. I took a small group of students from the local school as part of a careers day and the team really made a huge effort. We had a talk all about careers within home building; from planning to construction, to sales and marketing. We got to see the show home and the questions students had were all answered and considered. I was really impressed by the whole delivery and execution of the afternoon.

Friendly and helpful personnel

Friendly and helpful sales consultants initially and continuing were guiding the purchase of our house. This has many great features including solar panels, heat pump and high insulating properties. The house is very well appointed and most requirements are catered for. Finish is generally good but any outstanding issues and dealt with promptly. Unfortunately the completion timing(just before Christmas) and very wet weather made things a little awkward, but weather now is improving.

Have spoken to the company regarding the general vibration problem, but it would seem to be using delaying tactics as no response or change in approach to the work has been noticed.

Definitely wouldn’t hesitate to buy from Newland again!

Three years in and we still love our house. I was feeling a bit sceptical about buying a new build after hearing things from friends about other developers, but our house has exceeded expectations! Any issues we had were sorted out swiftly and they added some lovely touches to make it extra special as we moved in around Christmas. Laura and Rachel were great from start to finish, happy to answer any questions or point us in the right direction. Nothing was ever too much trouble. If and when we do move on, if the house was in the right area I would not hesitate to buy another home from Newlands!

Pear Tree Close, CheltenhamOur experience with Newland Homes from the moment we stepped into their Sales Office was excellent. Bev and Lesley expertly helped us through the buying process.We are very much impressed with the design of our house, particularly the Sun Room and the Open Plan Living Space, and appreciate the attention to detail especially the high-quality kitchen appliances and the electric garage door.While there were a few minor snagging issues, they have all been dealt with by the Newlands on site Team, led led by Chris and Jane. Great design and high quality specification.

We moved from Bath to Cheltenham which was an emotionally difficult move, but from the moment we met Bev and Lesley they made us feel at ease. The house design and specification was so much better than our previous new build, that it felt like a home we could instantly connect with. We needed to move quickly as our buyer couldn’t wait, but Newland stepped up and made sure it happened within 4 weeks.As with all man made products and technology, there are a few items being addressed, but the site manager Jane is straight on it and always in a friendly manner and with a smile. The sustainability, high quality fixtures and fittings, the love and care Newland have put in, we couldn’t be happier with our new home.

Newland homes have been amazing from start to finish. As first time buyers, we weren’t a 100% sure on the buying process but Caz and Evelyn put us as ease and were there with us every step of the way. We had a couple of issues and we very nearly had to pull out, but they stopped at nothing to make sure we got our dream place. Even after we moved in, the care team were amazing! We had a few small snags in our apartment and they were resolved instantly by Rhys and his team. Even when we thought we were bombarding him, he was very patient and nothing was too much trouble. We’ve already said we will be purchasing our next home through Newland Homes.

Be prepared to be fobbed off

Ok, the home is nice. BUT PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING SO YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE FACING.Aftersales service: why are they SO poor and frankly it continues to be a battle three years later.Garage developed large shallow pool so we had to move everything to edges - they said tough and to be expected! Even though the ground works team had told site manager that the design was wrong. Took months to get them to grind out some concrete - a bodge job and not crafted at all.Any complaints were dealt with a default message of its all fine and built to spec therefore not an issue or with a weird email to do with raising a job - no actual explanation.Windows: most of the windows dropped so the catches didn't work. We had multiple visits to bodge these back together.Oh and we had the bi-fold doors taken out and a new frame put in as it was cracked.Flat roof badly constructed. After many inspections by various companies (all of whom agreed it was the wrong roofing system) they then reassurred us we wouldn't have to pay - how lovely but I wasn't intending to pay anyway so moving on .... Took a YEAR for them to fix while they sorted out who was going to pay for it. Misleading emails said they were finalising plans 6 months before they actually did - felt fobbed off.WORST BIT: 3 years and now they turn round and say they are taking a huge chunk of the communal area back as they need for offset on another development. Turned out they had never given ownership to the homeowners. Even though they claimed to be instructing their solicitors to hand over TWO years ago. They are allowed to do this - its just they hadn't told us until we asking questions ..... Landscaping: minimal level of input, earth dumped and then left with mud and weeds for months and months, trees failing due to lack of any care at all. Planting is certainly not as per the plans shown to us and to the council planning to get their precious permissions so as they are required to comply we are now chasing this. As its the law. Guess its a good thing they still own the land.If I could invoice for all the time spent chasing and for the aggrevation of being told we're wrong, and being ...er...misled (?) I would be as rich as they are. Conscientious - really?Poor design on kitchen with the island too close to wall so we never use that side of the kitchen - something we're tolerating as we have other niggles to chase.

Very happy homeowners

I don't know if there's been new management since the negative reviews, but we've had the most amazing experience with Newland Homes. We absolutely love our new home on the Heron Rise development and are really happy with the build quality. I had an issue with one of the plugs and the guys came round the next day to fix it. While they were round, they even asked if there was anything else they could do and were a huge help in helping us to shift some furniture to various rooms! Special shout out to Evelyn at the Sales Office who has made us feel so welcome and has gone out of her way to make sure we have everything we need to get properly settled. Would highly recommend.
