Holden were always quick to provide us with updates and able to answer any questions thrown at them. When things would go quiet, we could always count on them to chase any potential queries with solicitors or to reassure us that everything was in hand. We won't be selling anytime soon as we have found the home of our dreams - however, if we ever reach the point where we will be selling this property, Holden will be the estate agent we use.

We felt respected and this is something we really appreciate. I would like to add that it has been an absolute pleasure to work with Amy, as she is amazing. She is very knowledgeable and professional and has always been in contact with us throughout the process, offering advice and answering our questions. We would highly recommend Holden Estate Agents to anyone who wants to buy a property, we have no experience of selling or renting with them, but based on our interaction I would bet that they do a great job in terms of selling and renting properties as well. From the moment Holden come round to quote for marketing our house, I knew they were the perfect estate agent for us. They are extremely professional with a wealth of knowledge of the Maldon area and were more than happy to answer my 1001 questions, which were not all sale related. Our house sold within a week of being on the market and we obtained the price we were looking for. Our sale did not go without hiccups but Holden were in constant communication with us and chasing the other estate agents in the chain and solicitors to ensure the process could go as smoothly as possible. Holden's were friendly and gave good advice to us throughout the process. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Holden and they are definitely good value for money.

Absolutely disgraceful service!! I called to enquire about a property I was interested in viewing and spoke to one of the directors Ryan Holden who was extremely rude and wasn't interested at all in organising a viewing, he was hugely insulting. There is no need for this sort of behaviour when simply making an enquiry about a property. It doesn't even deserve the 1 star but I'm unable to put the post up without it.

Holden Estates are a class act and a true representation of how an estate agent should operate. If you are moving house in the Maldon or Heybridge area then you should use them! My move started just before Covid hit and during a time that no one had ever experienced before they really made the process as smooth and as least stressful as possible. Everyone that I spoke to was fantastic but a special mention has to go to Amy who really stuck her neck out on a number of occasions, was really responsive and genuinely had my best interests at heart. I would not think twice about using them again and would recommend them to all my friends and family. My move completed in December 2020 and I couldn't be happier with the experience with Holdens. We have just completed on our sale with Holden acting as our estate agent. The whole team is brilliant - these aren't the easiest times to be conducting business I am sure but everyone carried on in the most professional manner. They take the time to get to know their clients so that they don't waste anyone's time by arranging pointless viewings. They are straight forward to deal with, give honest advice, and very easy to talk to. We haven't moved house for almost 18 years so really appreciated the help and guidance we received. We had some hiccups along the way but every time I had a concern my mind was put to rest with just a phone call. Their high reputation is well deserved - honest, polite, professional, not at all pushy (not the stereotypical picture of an estate agent!) and a local firm which was important to us. I recently had a well known estate agents let me down 15 mins before they were due to visit. I gave Holden estate agents a call as i was looking for a valuation on my home to be done, they were polite, helpful and totally willing to give me advice. On the day of the valuation the gentleman took all precautions of covid, ie mask, keeping his distance and not touching even a door handle, he was also polite and cheerful and happy to advise. When I decide to sell they will definitely be my choice to sell with.

We asked several agencies to value our home, and while we were tempted to go with one of the larger companies for national coverage, we decided instead that the personal service on offer at Holden would give us the best chance of a good sale. We were impressed with the time and effort made on our behalf, with a large number of viewings and several offers. We had a few hiccups at our end along the way and appreciated the fact that the team at Holden were always available to help and give us advice, even at weekends. They were super helpful and friendly all the way through, from arranging a viewing within 2 hours of our call, to answering all our questions in simple easy terms, to liaising with the seller on dimensions in the kitchen to allow us to purchase white goods in advance of moving (Shops not open due to lockdown). Our sale was secured but unfortunately the chain below fell through 3 times. Phil and Amy at Holdens are excellent and I would thoroughly recommend them to anyone selling or buying their home (they dealt with both for me). I am pleased I didn’t go for the cheaper option with my sale as I personally feel that they more than covered their fees by using their knowledge and experience in the negotiations and keeping the chain moving. They kept everyone in the chain informed throughout and nothing was too much trouble (even after the sales had gone through). Would definitely use them again.
