Yasmin at Ashton Burkinshaw was incredibly helpful in securing me a room. She was professional, responsive, and made the whole process smooth and stress-free. Highly recommended! Edit: The review I left her earlier was not by choice, she somehow forced me to do it by keeping sending me messages and emails to leave her a 5 star review. At her office she said I HAVE TO DO IT AND MENTION HER NAME. Okay, here is my absolute honesty; Yasmin was absolutely untrustworthy and not honest at all. So many problems with the house which were never fixed. When I decided to leave, she tried everything to make me pay £750 a month eventho I was not living there anymore. I informed them by email 14 days prior that I was leaving the room and she said "I sent her email to a duplicate email address "and yet they decided to make a claim. STAY AWAY FROM THIS LETTING AGENT ESPECIALLY YASMINE!

I had a very disappointing experience with this letting agency. I paid £1,634 (plus holding deposit£196)for a property that I was not allowed to properly view before payment(I asked to come directly to property address but the lady pushed me to come straight to office because they closed soon).When I entered the property the same day, I found it was not clean, not safe, and not fit for habitation, and it was completely different from how it was advertised,(photos /video was old that they advertised, when the flat was new) I informed the agent immediately and returned the keys, and I never moved into or occupied the property. Despite this, my refund has still not been returned. Communication has been extremely poor. My calls have not been answered, and I have repeatedly been told to “wait” while my money is withheld. The situation has caused unnecessary stress. I tried to resolve this professionally and directly, but the lack of accountability and the ongoing delays are unacceptable. Based on my experience, I would strongly advise others to be very careful and avoid this agency.

I recently rented a property through this agency and was extremely disappointed with the experience. Although the online pictures looked promising, when I collected the keys, the property was in a very poor state. It was messy, unsafe, with broken wood, dangerous cupboards, and a dirty back garden infested with rats. We returned the keys the same day, but it’s been over a month and a half, and we still haven’t received our refund. The agency is unresponsive, unprofessional, and does not address our concerns. Overall, I am very disappointed and would not recommend them.

We have been very pleased with the service provided by Ashton Burkinshaw. From our first initial meeting with Emma were she explained thoroughly the letting procedure, covered our expectations and the expected expectations from tenants. She also went through the situation of the current market and made sure we understood the process and answered any questions. We decided to let our property through Ashton Burkinshaw with full management to be carried out by them. We still had a lot of contact with Emma but also had Ellie working hard to get everything in place for us. Ellie arranged our viewings appointments and did the viewings for us. We requested that these all be on the same day If possible to avoid disruption to our busy lives, and she did exactly as asked. She gave us all necessary feed back and offered advice were needed. We had a great amount of interest in our property and Ellie secured us tenants very quickly. She was then on hand for anything we needed to finalise contracts and have all safety checks in place ready for our tenants to move in. We have been delighted with the team at Ashton Burkinshaw. They have a friendly yet still professional manner and are a pleasure to deal with.

If I could give zero stars I would. The worst and most unprofessional letting agents yet!! We had called beforehand asking them to confirm our viewing to which they responded with a positive confirmation. We were on our way tried calling the agents, no response. Continuously kept trying to contact to no avail we travelled over 1.5 hours and no one responded. Arrived at property no agent around and again tried calling, to which YET AGAIN no response. Decided to drive round to their office. Extremely rude, and had told me they confused my number with someone else’s and that they would never give us a property like that. If you’re a POC would not recommend trying with them. Felt extremely disgusted with how they’ve treated me differentially.

“Our residential tenancy agreement with Ashton Burkinshaw in Maidstone is fast approaching its 14th anniversary. Naturally, over this considerable period of time there have been various staff changes in all departments, and it has been a pleasure dealing with them one and all. Whilst they have maintained a high standard of professionalism, it has been tempered with compassion when the odd difficulty has arisen. The staff have been approachable, and have a great understanding of the business that they are in. They have managed to continue the feel of a local service branch even though they are now part of a much larger organisation. The current Branch Manager, Emma Miller, has maintained, and might I say improved on, the standards set by previous managers with her enthusiasm and obvious love for her job combined with an in-depth knowledge of her industry. These are difficult times in residential letting and Emma is a credit to Ashton Burkinshaw in the way she conducts her business.
