I am writing to express my profound disappointment and frustration with the services provided by Northwood/Maidenhead Lettings Agent. My experience with this agency has been nothing short of abysmal, and I feel compelled to share my negative encounters with the hope that prospective clients might avoid the ordeal I have endured. Upon initial engagement, the manager of Northwood/Maidenhead Lettings Agent was all too eager to promise the moon and the stars in regards to the fully managed lettings of my property. Regrettably, the enthusiasm and commitment displayed at the outset were not maintained throughout the duration of our engagement. The manager's professionalism quickly waned, and I found myself subjected to a series of shortcomings and oversights that left me both exasperated and disillusioned. One glaring issue was the consistent mishandling of invoices and financial matters. I was forced to engage in a frustrating game of cat and mouse as I relentlessly pursued the manager for accurate and complete financial documentation. This lack of transparency and accountability on their part was simply unacceptable. The depths of their negligence became even more evident when they outsourced electrical assessments for a government-mandated test to 2 needlessly expensive contractors. This financial indiscretion underscored their apparent disregard for my best interests as a client. The final straw was reached at the end of the tenancy termination process. Astonishingly, the lettings agent failed to provide the property inventory, effectively neglecting their responsibility to properly assess any damage caused by the tenant. Shockingly, they seemed to inexplicably side with the tenant even when it was unequivocally clear that they were in the wrong. Furthermore, their choice of a cleaning company for the property's end-of-tenancy cleaning was nothing short of a catastrophe. The abysmal quality of the cleaning was not only unprofessional but also highlighted the lack of care and attention the agency invested in ensuring the property was well-maintained. As if these issues weren't enough, the lettings agent's communication and follow-up skills proved to be as lacklustre as their overall service after our contracts had been terminated. I received reminders for essential tasks, such as a gas safety check and office closure times, months and even a year after they were due. This blatant disregard for punctuality and professionalism only served to compound the overall sense of frustration I experienced. In summation, my engagement with Northwood/Maidenhead Lettings Agent has been a textbook example of a lamentable and ineffective business relationship. Their initial promises quickly devolved into a series of disappointments, neglect, and poor decision-making. The agency's inability to uphold their obligations, their inexplicable support for tenants in the wrong, and their poor choice of service providers have left me disillusioned and disheartened. In light of my harrowing experiences, I strongly advise anyone considering Northwood/Maidenhead Lettings Agent to exercise caution and reconsider their decision. The subpar service, lack of professionalism, and overall disregard for clients' interests make this agency a woeful choice for anyone seeking reliable and competent property management services.
