I am not one for writing reviews unless I feel the service warrants it. Lisa and Chris’s input into the sale of my mother in law’s house has been invaluable. Their professionalism and knowledge have been extremely useful in what could otherwise have been a daunting task. You sometimes wonder whether you need the service of an estate agent when you have the internet but then you realise it is so much more that just advertising a house for sale. I feel extremely grateful that they were there to answer all the questions from the initial input of the house’s value to the completion of its sale. Thank you.

Having rented with this agency whilst living in Macclesfield, I was extremely shocked by their approach. This included an annual renewal fee for administration that was over £100, deduction of several hundred pounds from our deposit when we left the property owing to their own failure to remove the plaster from the garden of where the kitchen ceiling plaster fell in, and said ceiling remaining unfixed for 3 months. We kept the property immaculate, and had even paid for a deep clean ourselves on moving out (as we did for every property we rented) and had never had trouble getting a full deposit returned before or after. Having rented with several agencies in this and other areas, I can honestly say they were the only agency I would actively avoid and would certainly not wish our experience with them on anyone else. Thankfully, we learnt our lesson and went on to purchase a property from a far more professional agency without any trouble at all.

Since the day I received the key

Since the day I received the key, I've felt as if I've been robbed. When I entered the house, I immediately noticed that there were serious issues in many areas. However, my emails went ignored. If I have to express my feelings, it's truly terrible, so bad that I don’t even want to say more. It's ridiculous that your company's accountants have repeatedly made mistakes with the simplest addition and subtraction. Furthermore, one of your employees replied to my email, saying that if it weren't for them, I wouldn't even get the remaining deposit back. This is truly laughable. Aren't you supposed to act according to the owner's instructions? The owner is willing to refund the deposit to me; it's their choice. You’re merely acting on the owner's directions. I don't understand why your employees would take credit for this. Even though I'm not a local, that shouldn't be a reason to take advantage of us.

As a one property landlord, Jordan Fishwick's chosen contractors will often and repeatedly overcharge on parts and labour for repairs. Often this can be over twice the price of the parts when viewed online.

Only care about landlords, not tenants

Jordan Fishwick were unprofessional and tenant-unfriendly from the start. After applying, it took over two weeks, and a second application, just to get a viewing. When we finally viewed the property, the agent clearly wasn’t interested. No proper tour, no answers to our questions, and they wouldn’t even open the back door so we could view the garden.
