We bought a house on St Mary’s Park in Preston, and from the minute we met Carol, the sales agent, we were blown away with the sheer care we were shown to our needs and what was important to us. Buying a new home for anyone is a huge decision and purchase as was even more so for us as we were moving into a completely different area. From the first visit to every other visit, even if it was to watch the progress of the build, Carol was just amazing, along with Vicky too, following that we met with Shawn the site manager who again has been incredible and any little detail which just needed a quick fix after moving in, he along with Lewis have been extremely supportive, helpful and have completed any snagging without question or hesitation and with a friendly face and a smile.This is not my first purchase of a new home, however, the service level throughout from Morris has been nothing more that outstanding. I would recommend anyone to buy a Morris home without hesitation. We love our new home and that’s thanks to Carol, Vicky, Shawn, Lewis and the whole team at Morris, who are a credit to this company. Arkall Farm - Excellent customer service and high standards

Tracey at Arkall Farm has been so helpful and supportive every step of the way. Nothing has been too much trouble for her and she has been there for me the entire journey. If you are thinking of buying a house…

If you are thinking of buying a house from Morris Homes then bear in mind the Jeckyl & Hyde factor. You will get treated as if you are a valued customer & friend until the sales process is over.Senior management don’t care at all & you will get different stories cut and pasted into communication which are based on blame everything else but no responsibility taken.If you have a garden, be warned, within 18 months it will need replacing costing you approx £5k. There is no care given to any of the landscaping and they just lay turf on inadequately prepared ground.The guys who work fixing the snags are great though.

Buyers beware!

We purchased a Morris house at the end of 2019 and were pretty pleased with the house. Our development in Northampton was new and the spec of the houses was really good. We were sold a dream, but nearly 5 years later the promises have not been kept! The roads have still not been completed and are in a state of disrepair, the green spaces are only maintained when the residents complain.The estate is looking very tired, beyond its years!Morris are quick to take your money for the new houses, but fail drastically to complete their work which then has a knock on effect to the house prices.Future Morris homes buyers, get the details of development completion in writing.

Hugglescote - The Cotswold

So happy we decided to go with a Morris, new builds get a bad reputation but we couldn't be any more chuffed with our new home. The team in Hugglescote have been second to none, special shout out to Pauline in the office and Richard our site manager. Both go above and beyond for anything we might need.

Atrocious actions from morris homes

(St georges fields in wootton northampton) ... This estate was "completed" not long after we moved onto the estate in 2020, and the roads are STILL incomplete. Residents from the first phase of the estate have had to endure this for much longer than I have, however it's causing multiple issues including damage and ware to car tyres and unsafe walking paths for young children. My daughter was wheelchair bound and the accessibility was so poor we would avoid walking around the estate due to the curbs being so high and even thr drop curbs are crumbled and unsafe. Street signs are broken, communal garden maintenance is poor, the kids play area is unsafe due to poorly laid safety matting leaving huge gaps between the threshold of the matting and the grass, bins are always overflowing and the thistles and weeds are dangerous and unsightly. I know ALOT of the residents of this estate are unhappy about everything mentioned, but the roads are the main concern. People are struggling to sell their homes due to the lack of maintenance of the estate. The prices of these homes are high end but morris homes don't seem to be bothered unless they have money in their back pocket. Their is lack of communication from morris homes customer service team and anyone who emails to ask when the roads are going to be complete just keep getting fobbed off with irrelevant and pointless information and false promises. Sort it out morris homes.

Our experience with Morris Homes, and Angela, have been excellent from start to finish and have made a rather stressful start to our first time buying journey into the best possible outcome. Angela has been so friendly and knowledgeable guiding us through the process, and accommodating us wanting to see the house about a hundred times! We were so impressed with how many options we had for flooring, kitchen cupboards, worktops and handles, bathroom tiles etc, and the extensive lift of upgrades we could choose from. And now that we have moved in, we can say the quality and finish is superb. Snags are to be expected when buying a new build, but the ones we have found so far have been few and very minor, but the site team have fixed these very quickly which has been fantastic.All in all, we are absolutely over the moon with our new home, Angela, and the team have made the process as smooth and enjoyable as possible.

Amazing Experience - Pavillion Row & The Grange

After our visit to Pavillion Row I left feeling more that confident that being first time buyers we would be thoroughly looked after, Margie was so knowledgeable and explained every aspect to us in great detail. Sales adviser of us

Rob was the sales adviser of us. Although we were in another country, he always tried to get in touch with us via email and via phone. He always paid a great deal of time to deal with our questions. He answered them patiently and honestly. We felt ourselves so lucky both to know him personally and to have an adviser like him. Shelbourne Houghton Grange Development

Had a tour of some of the site today and viewed a couple of house types. We visited Houghton Grange today & met the sales advisor Niki ( Nicola ) she was friendly, professional & attentive. Shocking lack of customer care

Driving into St Georges Wootton is like driving into an industrial estate as the unlaid road is shocking, weeds growing all along the kerbs, such poor care from Morris Homes, they turn a quick buck then abandon the paying customer with an unfinished estate. Surely this is a health & safety issue as the roads are literally patched up & uneven.The good reviews seem to be from the early stages of buying & none from the aftercare.

Excellent from start to finish

We moved into our dream forever home end of April. From start to finish Morris were excellent. Paula, Jo and Julie were so pleasant to deal with, nothing was to much trouble. When we originally looked on Bartle meadows the plot we wanted was already reserved and we were like oh ok thanks anyway, a week later I got a phone call to say it had become available, we were so excited, our house on market, sold then the sale fell through, we saw our forever home being taken away from us, as we had only put a deposit down the timewas running out for us to exchange and complete however Morris were excellent, they kept us in the loop 100% of the time as we did with them, I am sat in my beautiful kitchen in my forever home writing this honest review. It just goes to show if you are an up front honest & genuine buyer, Morris will work with you, special shout out goes to Dave site manager what a guy, 100% down to earth genuine guy, we met him for our house demo felt like we had known him for years. Nothing too much trouble Iv looked at some of the reviews and frankly they are uncalled for, Morris made this happen for us and we are forever greatful Thanks Morris ❤️ PS when the bar is built you are welcome for a drink at 506 !!! We had never heard of Morris Homes before and were on the hunt for a new home, we passed the Arkall Farm development in Tamworth on the way to a day out and went to have a look and a chat on the way home - and what a great decision that was!Tracey was so professional and open when we discussed with her what we wanted and the timescale, taking everything into account and being very truthful and welcoming, we were instantly impressed and she has been wonderful throughout the whole process in keeping us up to date on the build, documents and all other matters - we were first time buyers so initially felt quite nervous, Tracey soon put us at ease.The houses themselves are of such amazing quality and designs, already feeling really homely whilst giving off the wow factor with their available specs, the site itself is managed so well and we feel so welcome thanks to Richard, Keith and James who are always on hand if we have any questions - we adore our home and love living here and Morris have truly delivered on the customer experience, cannot recommend them enough!We went for our first look on the 16th September 2023, reserved the plot on 22nd October 2023, throughout the winter we chose our spec and got weekly updates on the progress and then we moved in and picked the keys up on 2nd February and we could not be happier.After moving in we had a professional shagger come in and review the house and whatever she found, Morris were professional and quick on getting the correct tradesman in to sort it and everyone was open and approachable, we were signed off in just over 2 weeks!

Seamless Home Sale & Purchase

Since my original viewing with Paula & Jo at Bartle Meadows in Preston, the service from all at Morris Homes has been nothing short of exemplary. Paula & Jo made the process of reserving the house efficient, painless & unpressurised, all whilst keeping us thoroughly informed and most importantly reassured & secure throughout the process. They both guided us with saint-like patience through the painful (for me!) process of choosing from all of the options for the kitchens, bathrooms and all of the other accessories & extras, of which my missus thought was heaven! Julie has been our main point of contact since the reservation was confirmed and she could not have been any more professional, courteous, friendly, informative and thorough, she is a true credit to the team and has made the process of buying a new house, painless! We had our pre-move in site meeting today with Dave (Site Manager) & Julie and left even more excited than we were before we went. Dave went through everything with precise detail, leaving me with the upmost confidence that the house had been built to high spec, and genuinely portrayed that if we had any issues, he’d do his best to rectify them to the best of his ability, as quickly as possible. (Dave you owe me a beer!!)You hear horror stories of people buying new builds from all around the country, however the service from all at Morris Homes & Bartle Meadows has been impeccable from start to finish, and we could not recommend the house and the service we received any higher. St Mary’s Park - Morris Homes

We purchased our morris home at St Mary’s Park in Penwortham moving in at the start of Feb 2024. The whole purchase went very smoothly with us part-exchanging our old property with Morris. Carol and Vic in the sales dept were excellent throughout the purchase process with nothing being too much trouble or time consuming for them. They helped guide us through the purchase process and kept us well informed of developments throughout. Once purchased, we met the site manager Shaun, who has been great with us since we got the keys and moved in. Obviously there were some minor snagging issues as with all new builds and are expected by all parties, but these have been sorted almost immediately by Shaun and his friendly team. The whole experience has been very smooth and we would recommend Morris and St Mary’s Park highly. In fact we have done to some friends who are house hunting. Despite living on an active build site, we have commented that it doesn’t actually feel so. Noise is relatively low, site workers are courteous, friendly and approachable and bar the dust, which is what it is on a build site, it has been no issue at all. Thanks to Carol, Vic and Shaun for helping set us up in our new home :)

Read it before you buy house from Morris

Unfortunately we cannot recommend the company. We moved in to Kings Lea estate in Preston and every house had leaks in bathrooms/ ensuites. We spoke to our neighbours and most of the houses had at least 150 issues to repair on their snagging checks. Some even 400! Houses are often not completed on the moving days. If you come to speak to anyone in estate and see the state of their gardens you might be shocked. Everyone's garden is full of water, you cannot enjoy the grass. Feel free to read comments/ pictures on Facebook estate group. Additionally they don't pay attention to details, decorations such as painting/ skirtings/ door levels etc are very badly finished and Morris managers keep saying it's still in the norm standards. Communication with site manager was awful. You have to fight for everything to be repaired. They are not 5star company at all! Estate is fully sold but roads and green area is still not completed. We have no further communication from Morris about deadlines to complete remaining areas. They just disappeared from estate...
