Wanted to rent a property, the first attempt they didn't show up, no call or anything, the second attempt they did show up however 10 other people showed up. They clearly tried to huddle everyone together to try and create a panic rent and were asking for things like 100% annual rent up front. Absolutely horrendous felt so angry

I have been trying to get my £650 deposit back from these liars for 30 days!! They repeatedly blame the landlord (a personal friend of mine) for the delay in not returning MY money. My advice to anyone would be AVOID THIS COMPANY!! They cannot be trustedUPDATE: It took 11 weeks and the threat of legal action to get my deposit back. They then offered me £50 “goodwill gesture” for the appalling service and guess what ........ over 6 weeks later still no £50!!!!!!!

Have had my time wasted waiting for Entwistle Green to keep an appointment to view a property in Blackpool. Rang to ask where the agent was only to be told that the details of the appointment hadn't been passed on to them. I was then told that the original person making the appointment would ring me back in a couple of minutes. Half an hour later having received no phone call, I ring back to be told that appointment hadn't been confirmed? I thought that when you make an appointment and agree on a time, that is confirmation in itself? Having waited half an hour in the rain, I am then told that the next available appointment won't be for another 6 days. ABSOLUTELY ABYSMAL CUSTOMER SERVICE. I will NOT be dealing with Entwistle Green as they inspire zero confidence.

Ridiculous charges put onto tennants. No paperwork produced when asked numerous times. Constantly badgering for money and when costs are contested are really rude and unprofessional. I have had to get a solicitor involved just to move out of a flat. I've moved house twice and I've never had a more stressful move in my life. It's as if they don't care for the tenants, it's all about the landlord. I'd be ashamed to work there. It's awful, made my life miserable.

I have bought and sold 13 properties in my life and have never encountered such a terrible estate agency. The couple we were buying from had split up and weren't speaking to each other so they promised that they would ensure all the paper work would be filled in and signed by each party - they would personally ensure this would happen and then they would send it on to the solicitors. This did not happen and 6 weeks into the process our solicitor told us that she was still awaiting the fixtures and fitting form. It took another 4 weeks for that to get to our solicitor. Entwistle claimed they had no idea the paperwork was missing but they were supposed to be checking all of this so they lied to us. Their solicitor Countrywide, which owns Entwistle, were also useless. Again our solicitor kept chasing Countrywide for information. All we kept getting from them was that it was not their fault it was because the couple were splitting up. But if the fixture and fittings form was missing, why didn't their solicitor chase it?? It took nearly 4 months to complete and five weeks later we are still waiting for them to remove the sold sign from the front of the house.

Legalised theft at best.we all know there is no regulation for been an estate agent and letting agent, no qualifications needed and no criminal records checks .it is complete exploitation of tenants by charging whatever they like .check out their extortionate fees for letting a property, they are premier league by far .it only costs £12 to do a refrence check and one months deposit should be suffice but they have a list of some of the most bizarre made up charges I’ve ever seen .go to open rent instead , it’s free fair and transparent.there are no fees in Scotland or Wales and the net is closing in on firms like Entwistle green in completely exploiting poor and vulnerable tenants .check out their list of fees you would not believe , hence this really is legalised theft .avoid like the plague.

I rented a flat from this company and I felt as though they only really cared about the landlord. The one member of staff Liz deserves a mention however because she was great. The reason for this review is because of the company they use to secure deposits on rented properties, namely, 'Mydeposits' who are still holding my money. The other reason is that when I moved out no one came to complete a closing checklist or collect my keys so basically I am in a position where the landlord of this property has been able to make false claims to the deposit company about the state of the property when I left it. I also had problem getting repairs carried out unless I made a bit of a noise about it.

I let my property with Entwistle and requested a minimum letting period of one year. The company found some very good tenants and on my documentation, it stated a year rental period but gave the tenants a different agreement allowing them to vacate the property 3 months short of the year will no offer of compensation to cover the missed rental payments. The company also failed to forward communication from the council regarding council tax payments which caused numerous problems after I moved back to my property. Poor experience, I won't trust them again

My parents house in Maghull still is advertised as a detached bungalow when we have told them 4 times it's a semi detached bungalow, even when they came to take photos they still get it wrong , had loads of viewers then you see the reaction when it's not a detached , waste of time and money , I want the head office to call me and arrange a compensation deal

GoogleI never write reviews but after going to several agents in St Anne's Entwistle Green where by far the best so wanted to express that! I don't want to sell my house until next year so no one seemed interested in giving me a guide price and advice until then. Entwistle where happy to help and gave me all the help I needed without it sounding like a chore like the other places I visited! When I sell, this will be the only agent i use. And would recommend the same for anyone else looking to sell.

Went to view a property, was there 15 minutes early.Was contacted by them to let me know the agent was stuck in traffic, can we make another viewing appointment. Rang back and I said that were we were prepared to wait a further 1/2 hour.Not a problem they said, we'll let you know if she still can't make it.35 minutes later contacted them again, to be told that I was now contacting the wrong department(with the same number). Asked to be put through to the correct department, after 15 seconds phone hung up.Phoned up for the third time and got the standard message our offices are now shut, please leave a message.Good grief, never had an experience like it with any estate agent.I would not like to be selling my house or flat through them.

Used this letting agency to let my home out, much to my regret. The tenant had debts going back several years and was being pursued by various debt collecting agencies.Also a criminal record for fraud and embezzlement.Incredulously Entwistle Greens "rigorous and thorough' vetting procedures did not find any of this information.Instead they gave her the keys to my home and she left owing me over £2000 in arrears Absolutely appalling service!

"I offered on a house £180,000. This was the reply from Entwistle, Windford: I asked ..... to leave a message - but didn’t pick one up at all yesterday. The seller wants to speak with me today - we tried to speak yesterday - he lives in Sweden. The property is on the market at offer over £180,000 and the offer is less than he was hoping for - so he said based on this he would like to see how the other viewings go. ...... had said that was your best and final offer." Now...if the estate agent didn't talk to the seller, how did she (Caroline) know that the seller wanted the other viewings to go ahead? Poor communication that lost me the house that I wanted. Horrendous experience.

I hired them to sell my property, 8 months down the line,3 viewings,one potential buyer.Pathetic really. In meantime I decided to rent the property while for sale.So I did,what a mistake,I was lied to from day one.Ignored by rental department,I took full management service,I have been bullied by staff.I was bullied to buy insurance from them.When I raised concerns about my property and not knowing anything about tenants,I was lied that estate agent will attend the property with 24 hours notice given.Lies,lies and more lies.

Extremely poor company, I am in the unfortunate position of having them as my letting agents based in the north west. The administration is a joke constantly making errors, the maintenance side of things is terrible never get anything fixed and when you call to ask about it you get abuse. Worst thing is that even with the poorest possible service and tenant care they tell you that your rent is going up! Absolute Joke.

Terrible letting agents. Absolutely no compassion or empathy to individual situations. Would go as far as saying that Kirstie (I think) at the widnes office is really judgemental and seems to think renters are inferior. Spoke about my personal situation very loudly in the office in front of other staff and customers. Some staff were somewhat helpful in the same office but overall, what an awful experience.
