FacebookWhat started off as a positive experience with Arins, unfortunately ended in a negative and extremely disappointing one. We sold and bought a house with them in May 2022 but even after 7/8 months, they couldn’t quite prove their worth to close the process which ended up in us losing out on the property we were purchasing and had our hearts set on for months. I believe this was due to lack of communication from Arins and them allowing us to believe our buyer was correct for our circumstances. It was false promises from October/November onwards and by that point we felt we were in too deep to change estate agents or buyers. We kept being reassured it would be by the end of the week or the start of next week or tomorrow and so on making us hold on to any hope that we would exchange before our mortgage offer ran out. It was myself who did the majority of the contacting, with them always stating ‘I was just about to call you’ and when ever it was a ‘we will get them to call you back’ it very rarely happened. I even had to go into the office face to face to get any sort of updates at times.At one point at 8pm on a Friday evening I even had an email stating our buyers were revising their offer on ours by £15k less!! This was a huge concern as Arins new we couldn’t go any lower and again totally unprofessional to send that on a Friday evening with no intention of acting on it until the Monday. I can honestly say it was a draining, exhausting and anxious few months and I explained that to them many times.When the agent dealing with us went on annual leave and the manager handled the file, we did get a bit more communication and there seemed to be progress but that didn’t last long until we seemed back to square one.The bit I’m dissapointed at the most was that on the very last day of the process being able to exchange, we didn’t even have a call from them to update us or even apologising that it had finally fallen through. They simply shut up shop for Christmas and pinged back an out of office email. To me, this was unprofessional and unacceptable.The Christmas period for us was ruined by a simple lack of respect and courtesy. I can see from a fairly recent review that they did manage to help another client exchange just before Christmas so that hurts even more to think we were simply just forgotten about whilst they clearly put their efforts into other customers whilst neglecting us. At this point they had no intention of contacting us and complete disregard to how we would be feeling, which was let down and extremely upset. I did have a missed call from them late on 3rd January but no voicemail was left or re-attempted contact since. This has been a huge learning curve of what and who to trust when trying to sell your property and what processes you should do to make sure you are constantly kept in the loop or literally left to figure everything out yourself.

Our house sale unfortunately fell through the first time however arins managed to get it back up and sold again within a few weeks. The house sold for far more than we were expecting both times. The team were always very helpful Harry especially always answered our messages at any time of day. I would definitely recommend them to anyone wanting to sell in the area they certainly make the process a lot easier!
