Our experience with Winkworth Shoreditch has been nothing but wonderful. And in the maze that is london real estate today, we have loved every second working with Evie McKee. It's not often a call from a real estate agent gives you a smile on your face, but Evie has been such a blessing in the mess of making these big financial and future decitions. Her smile and warmth makes you feel 'right at home', which is pretty fitting when you're looking for that perfect flat.

This was my first experience renting in Tower Hamlets, and unfortunately the service we received from Winkworths was disappointing. My partner and I are first-time renters, coming directly from university accommodation, and we found our letting negotiator unapproachable and at times quite rude. This could be a reflection of how she perceived us, and unfortunately, they represented their service in an awful light. The referencing process was handled poorly. Their AI system flagged issues with us having two addresses, which is common for students, yet instead of resolving this, the responsibility was placed on us. We even had to explain Right to Rent legislation ourselves to prove that we had already provided the correct documents. This created unnecessary stress in what should have been a straightforward process. Moving in was equally frustrating, as we were given no clear instructions about key collection until we followed up with both the landlord and negotiator. When we finally did receive information, the timing was wrong, leaving us waiting around for hours with our belongings. Luckily, the woman in the branch understood our frustration and even agreed she was not sure why we were given such an open time frame. Overall, communication was poor, professionalism lacking, and the experience stressful. I would not recommend Winkworths to other first-time renters.

Overall had a really good experience with Winkworths selling my flat and would recommend. All the team were professional and made the process smooth and relatively hassle free. Only negative was needing to check the initial contract sent to ensure they removed a clause that would have seen me paying half the fee if I needed to pull out between having accepted an offer but before having exchanged. However, they removed this when I raised it. I highly appreciate Sean’s efforts though, through his excellent communication and a proactive attitude Sean made a real difference to reducing the stress involved through the whole process, from accepting the offer through to exchange.

The service was very professional and both Dhruv and Sean were very patient with me and all my questions given there were some delays (outside their control) to the sale. They provided me with very regular updates on the process, they were very responsive to my emails and calls and I liked that they took a keen interest in making sure that they found a serious buyer for my flat to ensure there was a lower chance of the sale falling through.

The process on its own was painful, mainly because of the sellers, but yet the professionalism of Dhruv, his understanding, communication skills, empathy, honesty, were incredibly helpful and reassuring.
