Be very wary of Stow Brothers if buying - They will purposely put houses at below market value to generate false interest. They will also book viewings at the same time as others to entice a bidding war. In the 1st example we had a viewing at the same time as 2 other people. In the 2nd example we viewed a flat “valued” at OIEO £420k, we offered £420k and were told they already had an offer of £425k. A week later the flat was reduced to OIEO £410k and when queried I was told that the initial advert didn’t generate enough interest but the seller still wanted £425k… They will waste your time, so try not to get caught in their game

I can't fault the service of The Stow Bros, they were honest, fair and always accessible. At times my sale was tricky but they dealt with it very calmly and efficiently at all times. I'd heard they were a different type of agents and having bought twice before (this time i was selling) I can only say they offered me the best service I've ever had and offered support in all areas including clearing and cleaning my property, making the process so much easier for me. I would highly recommend them and I'm very grateful to them for all the support they lent throughout quite a lengthy and at times stressful process.

Stow Brothers were a real pleasure to deal with, especially as I was nervous having just come from being a tenant with the most unprofessional, rude and aggressive letting agents. They responded to all queries promptly, all paperwork was done swiftly, always polite and friendly, giving me real peace of mind during the letting process. Chris who looks after the management of my flat is always a pleasure to deal with and ensures any questions, queries or issues are dealt with as soon as possible. Not usually one for writing reviews, especially of estate agents but I do feel Stow Brothers are truly trying to do the job well and be a supportive part of their community. They seem to financially support most events, schools, community ventures I have been to in E17. I recently sold my house with them and it was a quick, simple process which was made so by them the whole way through. Each person I dealt with at each stage in the process was fully aware of our situation, it showed they are all working as a tight team. We sold the house in a week as we had a time sensitive offer on our dream home, Stow Brothers were able to get the house on the market within the same weekend because of this. I was kept up to date and nothing was too much bother. I would definitely use them again should the need arise.

We've been tenants with Stow Brothers for two years so far. We've just signed a lease for another year on a flat in Walthamstow. We've had a very good experience as tenants. Georgina helped us find the right place (and we got our preferred option), and since then Chris and Tiffany have looked after the lease management. We've always found them to be very responsive, helpful, and easy to deal with. Most importantly, they are always fair, and we've felt that they represent our interests as well as the landlords. They seem to value good tenants and it's good to deal with the same staff members over a long period. I'd have no hesitation in recommending Stow Brothers to friends (and have done so).

I both sold my previous property and bought my new one through Stow Brothers. Very glad I did. What a lovely bunch. Compared to any other agencies I've dealt with, they were personal, communicative and accommodating at all times. Particularly appreciated the personal contact with Andrew (one of the brothers) who helped lend weight to reassurance around the market and my position, helping me secure want we were after both through the sale and purchase processes. Would thoroughly recommend these guys to anyone else looking to buy or sell in the area.

Do not go if you do not dress Gucci or are not happy to be treated as a beggar (with all due respect for beggars). I arrived in UK not a long ago and went quite spontaneously to enquire about a house they try to sell. ok, I did not wear an Armani suit. ok, maybe going after work in jeans and backpack (normal outfit for a scientist) was not a smart idea, but I was not expecting to be treated like someone looking for a free accommodation. Surely I was not prepared to buy something at once (I do not know how it works here yet) and was naively thinking they were more willing to talk, to contact me to offer something in the future possibly (if for the current house was too late to make an offer). I had many documents with me (evidence of current address, salary statement from my employer, informal bank statement about a possible loan), everything but a mortgage statement (as said it was spontaneous) but their attitude was so annoying, I had just to leave. I just hope I will not be interested again in a house sold through them, unless they learn to treat people nicely, regardless how rich they look like.
