Ellie at Stowe Brothers was thoughtful and proactive, and she always advocated for me, especially when my landlord decided to sell the flat. She communicated quickly, was honest and straightforward about repairs and any issues with the property, and consistently met me with professionalism and kindness. I'd also recommend their sales team. Speaking as a renter rather than the owner, I was impressed by their professionalism across several viewings. They respected my time, privacy and space, were flexible about how I was contacted, negotiated viewing times with me, answered questions promptly, and clearly knew the flat well, having done their research beforehand.

Have been dealing with Victoria whilst looking for a property to purchase - We've viewed many properties, looked at numerous without any issues. Victoria has been helpful throughout the process. We had a question on an unusual property with lapsed planning permission on a loft room. We had some questions about how far along the work was (on the advert, the room looked very-much intact, carpeted and furnished. We wanted to check on the situation with the stairs/floor being raised and building regs, victoria transferred the call to someone named William Tremlett to answer our questions. From the moment he answered the call, he was incredibly rude... in fact... incredibly rude doesn't cut it. He was probably the worst person I've ever dealt with from a customer service point of view, we're trying to spend close to half a million £ and had some genuine questions. His attitude was unbelievable, both myself and my partner were left in total shock at the end of the phone-call. We've never spoken to this person before and could not believe the way in which we were spoken to, just simply by trying to gain some additional information on a propertly. The first point he made after our questions was "It's there black and white" I said, unfortunately it isn't quite clear in the advert, hence why we're calling for more information. To which he responded that it was clear (it isn't, it mentions nothing about the current set up/where the changes got to and what's left to sort out. I'd avoid anything to do with William, an embarrassment to the business.

Ever wonder why your house isn’t selling? It will be down to the extremely poor attitude of one of their salesman. The way my partner was spoken to today when trying to book a viewing is absolutely disgusting!! She was spoken down to from the start of the call! Like you’re so great because you sell houses… well you’re not! You should be ashamed to speak to a female in that manor. My partner didn’t catch his name and nor was it even given. To say he will be there tomorrow morning and for us to drop everything to be there with no notice is bad enough but then when my partner said we can do the afternoon she was told ‘well I won’t be going back’. Finishing the conversation off by saying I wish I could do things when ever I want. Some of your customers have jobs too, we cannot just drop everything because you’re unwilling to keep a customer happy or even meet them halfway. We are now just left hanging, we can view it the next time he is willing to be there and he will contact us, didn’t even want to make an appointment.

I rented with Stow Brothers for three and a half years in Walthamstow. I would not recommend their Property Management service, largely because there is no service. Whenever we raised problems with the property, including a serious, systemic mould issue, a failed gas safety certificate and dangerous wiring, we were always given the run around. They take an exceedingly long time to respond and never provide updates. When they do send a contractor round, it takes the Property Manager so long to act on the recommendation that a second contractor then needs to be sent for an up-to-date quote, and so no work ever gets done. This may be partially the fault of the landlord for failing to respond in a timely manner, but the Property Manager's job is to ensure that both parties abide by the contract. The Stow Brothers never made any attempt to speed up the process of repairs and instead made it very clear through their actions that their priority was the financial benefit of the landlord and not the health and safety of their tenants. In desperation we were forced to report the landlord and Stow Brothers to both the Mayor of London's Rogue Landlord Scheme and the Waltham Forest Selective Property Licensing Team for breaching standards.
