We bought our house through Strickland & Co, a local firm of two brothers, and I have to say they were first class. We would fully recommend Strickland & Co if you are looking to sell in the SE London area. As a local firm, they were very knowledgeable of the area in which we were buying. Terence also kept us up to date at every stage of the process, explaining why things were taking longer than usual (we happened to be buying in the middle of a boom in house sales) and letting us know when the likely completion date would be so we could plan ahead of time. As the estate agent we were using for the sale of our property had seemingly disappeared off the face of the earth once we had accepted an offer on our place with neither our buyer nor we having any contact from them whatsoever until a just few days before completion, Terence went the extra mile to speak to our buyers to reassure them that everything was moving ahead, just more slowly than anticipated, which they greatly appreciated. Whenever we come to sell our place, we will definitely be getting in touch with Strickland & Co.

If you are looking for an estate agent to help sell your house in SE London, we honestly think there should be only one name on your shortlist: Strickland & Co. We cannot praise Jamie & Terence highly enough. This was the third time we had bought and sold a house; and we can confirm that it was third time lucky - in that we were lucky to have found Strickland & Co. From our very first interaction with Jamie & Terence, we realised that (amazingly) we were actually going to enjoy this experience of working with them - not something we’ve ever said before about an estate agent! Everything about Jamie & Terence is impressive. They are deeply rooted in the area - they grew up, went to school and now live locally. They really know our little corner of London - SE4, SE14, SE8, SE10, SE13 - like few other agents we’ve met. They are kind, friendly and charming people - nothing is too much trouble. They are so hard-working - coming to see us on a Sunday; happy to chat to us ‘after hours’ when we needed to discuss something. And most of all, they are just really good at their job. They found us a buyer within 6 days; and then they dealt with a massive COVID curveball when their buyer’s bank changed their lending criteria, helping to build a bigger chain to ensure the sale could go through. At all times, they went the extra mile to make the sale happen, even where there were lots of hiccups at the bottom of our chain (none of which were Strickland’s fault, or even their responsibility to fix). We never thought dealing with an estate agent could be a great experience. But then we’d never met Jamie & Terence before. Seriously, don’t go elsewhere - you’ll only be disappointed you didn’t appoint them. We’re hoping that if and when we ever leave our new house, Jamie & Terence’s empire will have spread to where we live now.
