Probably the worst experience we’ve had with estate agents in London. Booked a viewing, they were late by half an hour to meet us at the property. We then put in an offer for the property, explained my husbands company will be paying for our rent (we both have full time jobs as well) all was fine, we were given an offer letter, when it came to giving the holding deposit I was informed by Leonardo after working hours which was obviously after 5pm, we promised the deposit would be paid the next morning, there was a little complication however evidence was shown that the deposit was paid to their account and they were not satisfied. They then ignored us for around 6 hours and we tried to contact them, Leonardo then sends us a rejection letter that the property had been let to someone else. How can you retract an offer without any communication? We then proceeded to with another property which we wanted viewings for, when you call the office only Leonardo answers, nobody wants to give you viewings and no one calls back as promised. It then became a problem that my husbands company was paying for the rent although everything is legitimate and we have paperwork, it seems for this reason they were not giving us viewings and not calling us back. In the end we decided to not use this estate agent although they had properties that suited us and were convenient for us in terms of price and location. Truly a disastrous service with no valuation for prospective tenants - they only seem to care about the money. Zero customer service and lack of understanding. Having to repeat myself to Leonardo and explaining the same thing over and over again was tiring. I do not recommend. We’ve now secured a property to rent with another estate agent in London which happens to be the largest and most popular one, they had no issues with our application whatsoever and we passed all checks. Thank you to them for helping us find the perfect property.

Stirling Ackroyd have both managed my flat for rent and also the sale. During rental they gave me good advice, always found good reliable tenants, managed the processing of payments and the flat wasn't empty a single day in 5 years despite 4 different sets of tenants passing through. The sales process was really smooth, and they applied pressure behind the scenes to ensure all went through quickly and efficiently. My experience has been 100% positive, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

We are current tenants in one of sterling’s properties and we have had no electricity yesterday or today. When we rang to get help, we were told it’s nothing to do with them (the people we specifically got the house from) and now their maintenance team is on annual leave so nothing is being done whatever. It’s pretty scary how little empathy they have shown and how useless they’ve been at helping us.

My husband and I are extremely grateful for Stirling Ackroyd's support during our relocation to London from the US. As foreigners, searching for an apartment was extremely stressful and time consuming. We searched on recommended websites, tried homie, and contacted a number of different agents who responded carelessly to our request for more information and needs. Finally we came across a property that was within our preferred location, price range and move in date. All stars seemed to align except we grew worried that the agency wouldn't prioritize our request as foreigners, but luckily we found Luke Kelly, our superstar agent who immediately responded and took care of us since day one. He sent us a video of the property (and others too) and we negotiated everything via whatsapp. You can imagine the sense of trust Luke gave us since we had never heard of Stirling Ackroyd and we were only relying on his friendly demeanor and constant communication. Thank you Luke for your patience and amazing customer service AND for all the times we asked numerous questions (some even obvious ones) and you kindly responded despite the time difference and without ever meeting. We love our apartment, the signing process was easy and fast. Even when we had a bit of difficulty at check-in, Stirling Ackroyd still took care of us. I will recommend your services to friends and family. Thank you!!!
