Kyle at Stirling Ackroyd really did get us there! Putting a flat on the market at the height of the post-Brexit uncertainty was always going to be a challenge, but we urgently needed more space. Kyle and Alex provided strong counsel not only in terms of asking price, but genuinely educated us about the market, the competiton we faced with a new build property, and when to steady our nerve Vs accept offers. True consultancy. Kyle was also able to make excellent recommendations on solicitors, and during a lengthy completion process remained helpful and upbeat. Small touches like Kyle popping out to chat when he'd notice us walking past the office really added to the personable and friendly service. Thanks for all your help!

My wife and I cannot recommend Alex Broadfoot highly enough. We have met many estate agents over the years and Alex is head and shoulders above the rest. Alex was professional, knowledgeable, responsive and generally a pleasure to deal with. As purchasers we felt Alex worked fairly for his vendor whilst also taking on board our position in the negotiation. After agreeing a price Alex was conscious of getting the sale exchanged and completed and we got through the whole process in excellent time. The best testimonial we can give is to say that when the time comes to sell, the property we bought from Alex, we will be calling him to take care of the sale.

As buyers I think it's fair to say we were very particular about what we were looking for, Darren Ebsworth took time to establish our needs and then took time to show us great properties. He knows the area well and was very honest in his assessment of how well different properties met our criteria as well as where the compromises may be. In the end he showed us an amazing flat which we put an offer in on. There were some things that needed to be sorted before we exchanged and Darren once facilitated communication to the vendor quickly and efficiently. We are happy to have used Sterling Ackroyd and that Darren was our sales negotiator.

Super nice when you’re looking for a flat. As soon as you’ve signed the agreement, they show their real colours. During my time with them, they’ve failed to include a break clause in the tenancy agreement, despite agreed on from the offset. They have on several occasions displayed that they do not communicate internally. Miscalculated my deposit because they “forgot” to log that I’d paid rent. Overall, really not impressed. Unprofessional. Will not be using them again. Do not recommend.

He went over and above our expectations, he was available later int he evenings to show us flats, and understood exactly what we were looking for. Stirling Ackroyd, in particular Mehdad, did a great job of selling my flat. Market conditions changed dramatically with the introduction of the new mortgage rules just as I listed my flat. But they provided excellent advice on how to deal with this and lined up a buyer. Mehdad, followed up with both myself and buyer on a regular basis to ensure the sale went ahead smoothly.
