GoogleWe have rented a couple of different flats through Sovereign House over the last 5 years. To be honest the service, in our experience as tenants, has been quite variable over the years. That said most, most recently Lisa has been extremely helpful in negotiating on our behalf with our landlord. The outcome was successful and we will be renewing our tenancy as a result. I look forward to seeing this great service continue going forward. Thanks Lisa.

GoogleI was seeking a flat/house to let and have had some not so nice experiences, then I went to view a property handled by Jimmy and by far the service was brilliant all round from 1st enquiry through to move in. Communications was on point - prompt and relevant. Jimmy kept regular contact with me, which meant I did not have to chase at all, was always polite courteous and understand my needs. Nothing was too much trouble. I would highly recommend using this Company/Agent as they go beyond expectations and they provide professional service!

Given the emotional nature of buying/selling properties it is essential to have a calm, persuasive agent who finds practical solutions to problems that arise - James frequently demonstrated all these qualities. GoogleAwful, please avoid at any cost. We arrived at the flat and found it in horrible conditions. For this reason we had to hire professional cleaning to make it liveable. The agency clearly stated in our email exchange that they were sorry about this and for this reason we did not have to perform professional cleaning before leaving the flat. Result? They asked us 500 POUND!!! Furthermore they promised us a dishwasher was present, since it was not there they agreed to allow us to sell one of the fridge in the house. Result? They asked money for it and we had to negotiate to solve it. Please avoid it at any cost, they are only after some easy money

Matteo, we are sorry to see your comments which do not represent the reality of the situation. Firstly, Sovereign House does not benefit in any way in this situation. It is up to the landlord to decide how much of the deposit should be withheld, and if you disagree you can raise a dispute with the Property Redress Scheme, something you chose not to do. The reality is that you were advised that you should leave the property in the same condition you found it. According to the independent inventories carried out when you moved in and when you vacated, you left the property in a disgraceful condition, far, far worse than you found it. In fact, the inventory clerk commented that you had left so much of your own stuff including bed linen, washing up, wine bottles, toothbrushes, full bins, towels, food in cupboards etc, and that it looked as though you hadn't actually moved out yet. The landlord had to pay over £600.00 to get the property cleared, and, having chosen not to raise a dispute with the PRS, you negotiated with the landlord and agreed that £400.00 should be withheld from your deposit, actually leaving the landlord out of pocket.

GoogleWe rented a property through these crooks a few years ago. After 4 months in the property we were told the landlord wanted to sell the property and we had two months to leave. The landlord was not selling! They told the landlord we hadn't paid rent! I sent them my bank statement with the amount going out each month on time and they dismissed it saying well he wants the property back! Then when we moved out they tried to take all of our deposit citing loads of issue that were already in the property when we moved in. Lucky we had a independent check in/out company and they sided with us saying it was a totally bogus claim! They are total crooks! And should be ashamed of themselves taking money from innocent people!

Hi Ciaran, it hasn't been easy to look into this from 2013, and we would be very interested to learn more about what you say. Generally, in a situation like this we act totally on instructions from the landlord, and the file notes do refer to the landlord asking us to give notice due to late rent payments. It is generally beneficial to us for a tenant to remain in situ, and absolutely no benefit to us in the situation you have described. We are unable to comment further without more specific information, but more than happy to discuss further if you would like.

GoogleWe rent a flat with Sovereign House Victoria Park for a few years and they always answered our requests promptly. They are really responsive and make sure the issues are addressed quickly (questions to landlord, contract updates, paperwork, boiler issue...). Even after we left the flat, they were still keen on helping us with forgotten mail in the letter box and other matters due to the moving out, when they obviously didn't have to. I would definitely recommend Sovereign House.PositiveResponsiveness
