Lazy, lacking and unprofessional - Cirencester branch

My experience with Savills Cirencester was sadly lacking. I chose them because Savills is a well known name, I liked the photos they used in their marketing material and initially, the 'director' of the branch came across as charming and professional. However once we'd signed the minimum term to sell our house, the director was mostly anonymous depsite telling us he was 'leading' our sale. Whilst I could forgive one or two mistakes by the agent, sadly we had a catalogue of problems including:The agent bringing the wrong house keys to a viewing.A viewing confirmed without us being asked.Viewing timings changed without us being notified.The agent not knowing what a septic tank does.Repeated use of the wrong house name.Incorrect phone number on their business cards.Inappropriate information about our personal circumstances leaked to the buyer.I also complained to Savills head offce which was ignored for two weeks despite chasing twice, then referred back to the local branch against my wishes. This was 'investigated' by another director, I had a lame apology for some of their mistakes but the remaining issues were generally ignored.Obviously, if you're looking to sell a house in and around Cirencester, I'd suggest using anyone but Savills. I've sold 6 houses in my time, all of which were with different agents, and Savills were easily the worst I've ever dealt with.

Lack of integrity and competence

There was very little factually accurate information that the Savills agent shared during the sales process from the kind of building, location of the car park through to what the service charge covered. They don’t provide the essential materials but expect you read every detail of their marketing brochures which the agent herself lacked knowledge - no value in dealing with the agent and what’s the purpose if their expectation is to read in detail the marketing material. A commission not earned for lacking the requisite skills and knowledge to make an honest sale. Since when did marketing material become the most important documentation taking precedence over what the agent communicates. They are bound by a code of ethics and speaking to the property ombudsman makes the standards clear yet they get away with not demonstrating the standards including using confidential client information inappropriately. Very disappointing and it’s a poor decision to engage them or trust anything the agent communicates especially when you’re forced to work through them as a sole agent as some developers insist. An all round unpleasant experience with defensiveness, a lack of analysis, rigour and zero accountability for any of their words and actions.

DO NOT USE "Greedy Sales Reps & Lairs"

Do not use. Unless you get everything on paper/email from them. And I mean everything as their representatives will try anything to get a sale with false promises and late lie about it ever been mentioned or offered. Have witnesses and log everything. Do not take the name as they are professionals many of representatives keen to get sales. That is their goal not the customer. My statement maybe very strong but I have proof and now have to undertake a complaints from wasting my time and energy whilst had to incur costs on sale that was a lie.

Yesterday, myself and my housemate had been doing a long day of unsuccessful viewings. After feeling very defeated, I got a call from Savills where I spoke with Nikita. It was almost 6pm and she offered to let us view a property around the corner to where we currently were. We loved the house so much and put in an offer straight away!!If it wasn't for Nikita being so lovely and accommodating we wouldn't have had the chance to see this property and get an offer in, in the nick of time.Thank you so much Nikita!!

Louise, at Savills Cobham, has been completely brilliant throughout the sale of our house. Incredibly professional, and excellent at her job, she has also been wonderfully considerate, kind and patient. She is an exceptionally capable person utilising a range of skills in a nuanced, sensitive and highly effective way. Selling the home we loved so much has been a wrench but she has guided us through steadily and calmly, staying in constant contact, always there at the end of the phone and handling the sale at the right pace and providing expert advice and knowledge when needed. Huge thanks to Ruaraidh and Sandra in the Angus office. We had made the mistake of first trying a generic estate agency firm in order to potentially save some money in selling out property which simply resulted in two months of frustration and angst. Changing to Savills was transformational. At the first meeting it was clear that the knowledge and experience about how best to market our property and how be best to approach the sale was on a different level. The result was a feeling of confidence that we were in professional hands. The bonus of an early sale was obviously welcome.

Savills were an amazing agent to deal with, especially our super star agent Tessa. From first dealing with Tessa it was easy. We had a long, and difficult sale but Tessa was patient, persistent and more than anything positive. She was incredible at communicating on all aspects (she set up an WhatsApp group which was perfect) she offered guidance and advice when needed. Out of all agents we have ever dealt with she was the most humble, friendliest and also relatable (where similar ages so maybe that’s why). She also came to see us on the day of completion, ensured everything was as it should be. She was FANTASTIC, I couldn’t recommend her highly enough.

I can’t thank Pauline Kay from Lower Bridge Street, Savills, Chester enough. She helped me buy my first property in England which I moved into during the first week of lock down, (March 2020) and has helped me again enormously selling it this year. Although an experienced property owner in Scotland this was my first experience of the English property market. Pauline was an excellent support navigating me through this process. She was also an especially good advocate for both buyer and seller, ensuring as smooth a journey as possible for everyone. She has excellent local knowledge of the property market and great interpersonal skills. If I can take her with me on my next property purchase I will! She went above and beyond, accepting care of my especially large house plants into her office to ensure my seller had an acceptable move in date. Great experience with Savills Stamford

We had a very successful and enjoyable experience working with Victoria, Charlotte and the whole Savills Stamford team in the sale of our home. They did an excellent job from the start with pricing, marketing, coordinating viewings and, very soon after, managing the bidding process. Once we had accepted an offer, Victoria and the team worked very hard to manage the process to exchange and completion, diligently following up with the buyer's agent and solicitor to ensure that the chain was moving and working closely and cooperatively with our solicitor when needed. Teddington, House Sale and Flat rental.

I have recently completed selling my house. The newly opened Savills Teddington are responsible for the sale and I cannot rate them highly enough. I would like to personally thank and thoroughly recommend Rosa who was just the most fantastic sales negotiator. Without her expertise in dealing with viewings and buyers I don’t think our house would have sold at all! Her experience in dealing with people made for a very smooth journey for us. She was always so professional yet so friendly and approachable. I felt I was in very good hands when I knew Rosa was showing people around my home. I’m so glad she was assigned to us for our sale.Also to be mentioned as a fantastic member of the team at Teddington, is Sophie. I recently exchanged on the sale of my flat with the assistance of savills mayfair with the help of Claire Reynolds who is head of that office and Kitty Halley also from that office. Kitty was my point person and Claire was always there to assist me as well should I need some re assurance. Having this "team" with me was very calming and efficient - and I can say that the team were faultless and I have been working in the property world for many years as an advisor to clients so that is saying something. As my day to day contact I found Kitty to be :Efficient Compassionate Always available and if not able to answer would always call me back Honest and she had the ability to tell me as things were rather than say what I may have wanted to hear Extremely hard working In short I'm not sure I could ask for more from the whole agency experience - Kitty was a tremendous person to have on my side and I would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone.
