Mckay property has been fantastic from start to finish. We went to them because of reputation and it was well deserved. My family and I were selling our late father's home and as well as being compassionate to our situation, they were absolute professionals. They began by producing a 3D tour of the house, (which was a service other agents didn't provide) and put together a really detailed portfolio of the house. They were tireless in coming up with new ways to advertise the house. They kept us informed of all developments and were quick to get back to us with when we had questions. An absolute shambles here at Southpoint flats. Complete mismanagement, incredibly delayed and overpriced repairs, overspent by £31k unnecessarily, shifted cost onto all residents, didn’t manage fee dodgers properly. It would take them months to reply to emails, if at all. They’d send errors in emails, refuted our observations and used overpriced London-based companies, despite us being nowhere near London. And if we didn’t think they could get any worse, we then served them notice and it became abysmal. Absolutely abysmal. Avoid at all costs.

Years and years of hell from this company. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE. If I could give them no stars I would. Put us in debt of over 30k! Use overpriced and shoddy companies and workmen to get work done, that’s if you can get them to do it in the first place. Getting us to sign off on accounts and figures and then changing the numbers afterwards. Don’t chase people who don’t pay their service charge, barely provide a basic service. And when you leave they make you give 3 months notice, still charge you and then do even less work and make handover very difficult for the next company. Honestly it’s been the worst 3 years dealing with them. Do not put yourselves through it, it will ruin your finances and mental health!

From the moment I first spoke to Chloe on the phone I really hoped this would be the estate agents to find us our home.. her professionalism and positive energy made the conversation so natural and left me feeling excited to work with this agency. At our viewings Ollie made it so easy and answered all our questions fully with such honestly which left us feeling very confident with them as a company. We then dealt with Paul who again continued the brilliant service and helped us get the place we wanted. I moved into a rented property 2 years ago. The agent who helped me view the property is sadly no longer with mackays but she is now my neighbour, she was amazing. I didn’t think anyone would come close.. We’ve had a few ups and downs but they have generally been brilliant. Rachel is now my main contact and she is very professional, extremely polite and has helped me with a few difficulties we couldn’t have dealt with ourselves. She’s been amazing! I purchased my flat through Mackay in 2018 and had a fantastic experience, so when I came to lease it earlier this year it was a no-brainer to go back to them. We have been using Mackay to manage our rental property since we purchased it through their office three years ago and have been very happy with the service provided. The fee we pay is fantastic value for the peace of mind provided by having such a professional team look after our property and tenants. Knowing that the ever-changing rules and regulations are being addressed is very reassuring to me. Rent is usually paid to our bank account promptly and any issues with the property have been dealt with in a timely manner. Earlier this year our tenants gave notice, we wanted to use this as an opportunity to carry out some maintenance and update the property. The team at Mackay were so helpful giving advice on what would benefit the property most. They were able to recommend a tradesman and liaised with him to get the work completed whilst finding us new tenants. The property was only vacant for about three weeks as our lovely new tenants moved in as soon as the work was completed. I would be happy to recommend Mackay to other landlords.
