Excellent - would definitely use again

Rent my home was very user friendly. The journey from approaching rent my home to exchanging keys with our new, fully referenced tenants was less than a week. We were pleasantly surprised by how hands on our account manager was. For the price of the service we were expecting to be pretty much on our own but the team were extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Heartily recommended!

Untrustworthy and ineffective

We rented a place from them for one year, I cant begin to explain the distress we endured for the whole year. It was brilliantly painting and look beautiful when we viewed it. Within the first two weeks, the damp penetrated through the NEW paint, it was obvious they had just been painting over it. We called them and sent pictures in, pretty much straight away. Contacted them regularly about it, to no avail. It was always a "we'll get back to you" - this is how the whole year passed. We were also told the electricity is about £50 during winter a month, in the SUMMER months it ended up being over £80 a month, and then winter was unmentionable. We were two people in a one bedroom flat, we both worked out the house most of the day, cooked one meal a day and never switched on the central heating because of the cost - yet it was extortionate. We requested a number of times for something to be checked/ done - nothing was. We called EON and got a digital meter fitted, we sent them pictures of the meter going from 90p an hour to £8 an hour with NO CHANGES in the house, we explained something more must be wrong. They always said "we'll get back to you" and nothing happened. It was a horrible time, we actually spent the majority of our time at our parents because of how terrible it was, my asthma was exacerbated and I medication was stepped up because of the damp. It was just such a terrible experience. In the end, they also took about £150 of our deposit money for "cleaning" and a "bent door of the electricity meter" (which we didn't use because we got the digital meter), it was obvious it has been damaged due to weather etc, it was OUTSIDE the flat in the car park. Would never advise anyone to go with them, not reliant or supportive at all. Anxiety provoking, depressive year.

Rented a studio flat, very happy

Female agent was friendly but none responsive. I had to call and email several times to get a response and at the end of the day was told someone else had taken apartment even after i had submitted all necessary documents and nothing was wrong. More regard should be paid to people’s time.

I used rentmyhome.co.uk to rent out my apartment and found their website very easy to use. Their customer service was excellent, they advised me on the best way to market my home and how much rent I could charge. Their online bookings system for viewings is very convenient and my flat was marketed on major websites such as Rightmove.
