GoogleExtremely unhelpful, rude and borderline discriminatory. At the start of the year I was looking for a rental property from £1700-£1800 in Crystal Palace, a saving on the £1900 I had being paying for years prior to this. I enquired after a viewing for a property at the lower end of this - I wasn't even permitted a viewing. As a single mum, I receive benefits, and as soon as I mentioned this I was told I wouldn't be able to view or apply for the property. After I questioned why, I was informed I wouldn't pass referencing - despite doing so for the £1900 property I resided in and the subsequent £1750 property I decided to rent elsewhere. When I asked if there was nothing I could do, as this would mean I wouldn't be able to rent any property from Pedder, I was told that unless I lowered my budget (which wouldn't find me a nice 2-bed with a garden under this) there was nothing I could do. I found this discriminatory, this essentially penalised me for being a single mother on benefits, despite my income from my wage being over the monthly rent. After talking to subsequent agents, they were horrified to hear that this happened and were very empathetic; working with me to find and secure a property - happily passing referencing. (It is illegal to not permit tenants who are in receipt of benefits.)NegativeQuality, Professionalism

Nice ads of houses which act as a click bait, They add the property today I call them straight away and is fully booked or gone, meanwhile the ad stays online for more than 3 weeks marked as available.

GoogleI have just moved out of a Pedder managed property and they are delivering a stand out service. As a housing professional I have been consistantly impressed, including with the initial best practice re safety and attention to detail Responsiveness on repairs and issues has been exemplary from property manager John Dowling - I have probably sent him more than an average number of emails and he has been nothing but accomodating and polite and sorted out a number of issues for me very quickly. I would recommend using Pedder to anyone - it was reassuring to know you'll have a response to issues and can rely on a good standard of repairs where needed.

From the initial phone call, the estate agents at Pedder come across as unhelpful and full of attitude. They racially profile tenants to “advise” the landlords on who would be the best tenants. I viewed a property and made an offer the same day, then to be told 2 days later that the landlord had gone with another offer despite me meeting the criteria. I will never use Pedder again.
