GoogleThanks to the team for help in valuing my Shared Ownership property. While it was a lengthy and difficult process (because of other people, not McDowalls!), the McDowalls team were incredibly efficient in responding to my requests and requirements from the Housing Association. Would recommend no question.

GoogleAbsolute joke of a valuation. Not to mention the surveyor who came round was rude and unprofessional and made me feel uncomfortable in my own home. Interesting to read that other people using this company for shared ownership resales have felt the same about their valuation report. We will be challenging this and refusing the valuation and using a local valuer instead. I’m also going to report the surveyor and the company to RICS. Leaseholders: AVOID!!

I have used them for several transactions and on every occasion I have found them to be very professional, reliable and prompt with their valuations. I have also valued their advice and suggestions over time, especially when it comes to complex matters. This advice has ultimately save me time and money so I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

GoogleGave our property a value of 100,000 pounds lower than its actual market price. Then offer a cash buyer before we had even got probate, and offered a probate value of 50 grand less than market value. This someone from capital gains have told m is very dodgy. Ended up having to pay 12 grand on capital gains as the actual sale price by a decent company was 410000 pounds. Thanks for the dodgy price up that cost me 12 grand. Avoid this company and don't get done out of your hard earnt cash ....In reply to your last comments. A false review would be a convenient get out. That's no problem I'll forward you the email you originally sent me with the figures (thumbs up)NegativeProfessionalism

GoogleQuite disappointed with the sales team who keeps asking me to either wait to hear from them or to call back after 10 mins to provide details about a property. This was to enquire about a property that came on the market last week and the response was not quite good. Unfortunately, this was not the first time I experienced this so publicly letting everyone know.

Multiple members of staff, including the MD, always sharp, always efficient, always reasoned and nice, and always fast to produce the valuation report. Top service - 5 stars.

Valuation Report with inaccurate data, making my flat undervalued. communication was superb before raising the problem after that was a struggle, no response to emails, called the office, person not in, and is in, not "available" had to chase evertime for answer. Used them for L&Q valuation, never again! ! Avoid!! The matter was certainly not resolved! ! You just ignored it.
The matter was subject to a valuation review and ultimately resolved
