I don’t live locally but I was kept fully informed every step of the way which was of utmost importance. James was very helpful with any queries we had and nothing was too much trouble. I recently bought a property that was sold by Martin & Co. It was a tricky sale as the freehold needed to be purchased and the seller was very anxious to complete (and he was constantly threatening to pull out if it didn't complete in time). I honestly don't think it would have gone through without James, who was amazing. He kept in constant contact with everyone the whole time and chased all the lawyers involved (mine and the sellers) to make sure all the necessary steps were done in time. That was my experience as a buyer so I know that if I ever sold my property though Martin and Co, James would do everything in his power to make sure the sale completed and nothing held it up.

James and Lucy were the light in the storm of a challenging situation of getting renters for our flat. They gave us clear, low-pressure explanations, great help with logistics, and then found us tenants that seem to be a dream. They turned what had been a stressful process of learning the ropes as landlords in to something positive and successful for all parties concerned. Couldn't have done it without them. I'll also add that they have an additional proactive commitment to the local community, providing sponsorship for local events like the OverGround Festival, running fun projects that bring the community together, and just generally being engaged with making Crystal Palace (widely defined) a better place to live. I felt that engaging their professional help with my personal business needs then had a wider positive effect for our area. A win on all sides!

If I could award more than 5 stars I would. James and staff handled a really tricky sale of my property. I Can't THANK him enough. Martin & Co really earned their commission on this one. Any emails were answered promptly. I was not left in the dark wondering what was going on. He pushed and prodded solicitors, not just mine but all along the chain. If only all Estate Agents were like this. I always felt James had my best interests at heart when we hit a snag. And we hit many Snags!!! I was congratulated when the sale went through, as though I'd won a prize. I suppose you could say I had won a prize, managing to find the best Estate Agent in the area I sold my flat. At the end of the transaction I felt I had gained a friend. A heartfelt 'Thank You' from me to you all.

I would highly recommend Martin & Co to sell your home. Very personal service and knew exactly the right people to show my flat to. I had no reservations about leaving a set of keys with them. All the staff were lovely and always kept me informed. There was no need to chase and they would call or email on a regular basis. Even when things became a bit tough towards the end, James was on it, getting updates from solicitors etc. I couldn't have asked for a better service. Thank you Ax

I have used James at Martin & Co for my last 2 lettings at my flat. I gave him detailed instructions for the type of tenant I was looking for and he understood that completely. After a chance meeting with James i decided to give Martin & Co. the task of letting 2 properties that i needed to find good professional tenants for very quickly. Whilst most of James' competition were sipping mulled wine and grazing on mince pies James made himself available over the Christmas and New Year period and got to work in searching for tenants straight away. We have used Martin & Co as a buyer, landlord and then a seller! Throughout the years James and the team have been fantastic. We needed advice along the way and it was always given in the most professional and thoughtful way. We had a long drawn out sale as buyers, and then a long drawn out sale when we sold the same property some years later. James was in constant contact with us, the buyer, our solicitors and everyone in between to chase things along. Viewings weren’t always easy with the tenants but we got there in the end. Michael was very prompt at writing up any feedback on the online portal and answering questions when needed. When we used the management services as landlords we also had a very good experience and felt reassured the flat was in safe hands while we were living abroad. I sold my House in Crystal Palace with Martin & Co. James and his team were relay amazing and worked hard to get all sorted. I liked his calm way and clear view. There is no overselling in either direction and really good support during the whole process. And we needed it as my house was a shared ownership property transitioning to 100% ownership for the buyers. That made everything more complicated. My partner and I moved from Crystal Palace to Helensburgh in Scotland in 2014. Having had a lot of negative experiences with other estate agents on "the triangle" we were extremely nervous about how this new relationship would work out and I vowed to give it some time before writing a review which would bare all about our experience. James and the gang provide the best service you can imagine from an estate agent. I know that "best service from an estate agent" is not exactly a great compliment when it comes to the quality of service from the industry as a whole (I'm sorry to say this, but in my experience it is entirely appropriate) and that is exactly why I have used the words "you can imagine" in my statement above. I genuinely cannot imagine, even in a made-up world, getting better service than that which the team at Martin & Co Crystal Palace provides. They go above-and-beyond in every way. No longer am I nervous when there's an issue with the flat - the team will personally see to it that an mitigating options are tried before they book in a professional. No more unnecessary fees/bills for a boiler which just needed to be turned off and back on again! As mentioned, the service is incredible. The team is always quick to respond to queries and will bend over backwards if they can help. I have to mention a particular scenario which also highlights how the team cares for its tenants just as much as for the landlords who employ them (this was an important factor for us). We had some new tenants move in and, after a year or so, having already renewed their original lease, sadly their relationship had run its course. The team here contacted me and explained the situation asking if we would agree to them ending their tenancy early. I feel most agents wouldn't even entertain contacting the landlord about something like this due to signed contracts. Even though this was during the first COVID lockdown, we immediately agreed due to the circumstances discussed. The team were able to find us a new tenant immediately (again, during lockdown) and the transition was absolutely seamless. Even though we were located so far away, everything was handled completely stress-free for us. If you are in Crystal Palace or surrounding areas you absolutely must employ Martin & Co. They literally are top-tier in every sense. If you are not based near by, you should do what you can to persuade them to take your property on to their books. They really are that good.
