GoogleWill never rent a property through these guys, very unprofessional. I contacted them about an ad for a property and received an email asking if I could view that day or the next. I responded shortly after saying I could do that day at 4pm, no response until later that day when they said, Sorry for the delay, it will have to be tomorrow. Is 1pm OK? So I responded saying yes that would be fine, please send me the address. Again no response and not even a name at the end of the emails from them. The next day I get an email 40 mins before my viewing was supposed to be due confirming my appointment. I was frustrated but I went anyway, however no one was there. When I re-checked the email I realised the viewing was only for 3 days ahead! I sent an annoyed email asking why they had messed me around but once again got no response. I did not turn up to the viewing that was scheduled as I decided I was not going to even consider renting from these disrespectful people. I heard nothing from them again until 2 weeks later when I get an email out of the blue about that property saying it's gone now but would I be interested in another one!!! I could see my life being made extremely stressful renting with these guys and I would not touch them with a barge pole. Be very very wary of them!NegativeResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism

GoogleThe most unprofessional and unresponsive agency I used when living in London. During our last call I had their officer swearing at me and stating that they couldn't return my deposit because they had not heard from the landlord for the past 2 months and for what they knew he might have even been dead. So ridicolous and patronising. They are now holding 80% of the deposit for totally unacceptable reasons so we are going into dispute. GoogleDespite a complicated sale, James at Maalems was great throughout. Supportive, responsive and helped keep everything on track. Helped take stress out of the situation. Only minor thing was I originally visited Maalems when I first started house search, but never heard back from them. It was only after I found a place that they kicked into action. GoogleThroughout our tenancy Maalems have consistently let us down. They have been slow to respond to any requests including emergencies, such as a burst radiator, lack of electricity and a broken boiler. They have failed to uphold their end of the tenancy agreement insofar as not making vital repairs to the flat for months - our boiler was faulty for three months- and have been particularly unhelpful after we were given notice on the flat through no fault of our own. In all, it has been a totally unsatisfactory experience and I would advise that NOONE chooses Maalems as their estate agent.
