The team at Ludlow were extremely helpful. Beth was very responsive, clear in her communication and helpful with all our queries, particularly as first time buyers. She guided us through the process and gave us advice that we couldn't find elsewhere. The whole team worked hard to accommodate our schedule (which at times was pretty hectic) and made sure we were happy at every stage of the buying process. When things got pressured by the market, Mark was excellent in moving things along and keeping us informed. I wish that the buying process in the UK was more efficient but Ludlow Thompson are doing their best to make the process as smooth as they can.

They are pleasant and charming whenever they want you to sign a contract with them. However, when our contract ended, they attempted to charge us over £500 for trivial repairs, most of which were due to the poor ventilation of the flat. Despite refusing to pay multiple times, we ultimately didn’t have to pay anything, as they were not entitled to charge us for those repairs. They also behaved unprofessionally when arranging viewings and final visits, and they altered the concepts and amounts of the fees to be paid multiple times. We ended up dealing with the letting manager, who was one of the rudest individuals we’ve encountered

He has been incredibly responsive and very flexible offering up an evening viewing appointment on a property very recently on the market. Lala Charai was brilliant showing the buyers around enthusiastically and achieving the sale of our property. Ludlow Thompson priced it realistically and worked hard to achieve the asking price. Before we sold this property we had rented the house for a number of years through Ludlow Thompson and Stephen Graham found us excellent tenants who we had for many years so they are definitely the agent of choice in East Dulwich. Sophia was very helpful and was able to answer most of my questions, and got back to me within a day re the other questions I had. A Gem of a Property Manager

I have been with Ludlow Thompson for a number of years and have had many property managers cover my account. Most were very good but my current property manager is exceptional. Tammy Clarke cleverly and persistently completed a very complex tenant replacement process, having to go though a number of candidates until a suitable candidate was found. The Canada Water branch were absolutely fantastic for us when we sold our property. They valued the property at the highest of the 4 agents that we had come round and also offered the best commission rate. Conor is very personable and knowledgable. We didn't even have to put the house on the market in the end because the client list the branch had meant we had viewings before it went on the market and had an offer above the asking price. They were also great throughout the sale and whenever issues came up (which they always will in sales), they were on the case and prompt to resolve. I don't say this lightly, but going with them was well worth the money!

Rotten to the core, if your a tenant.

How this company has scored highly is beyond me. In general I think most estate agents are crooked, and this one lived upto the expectation. They took over managing the tenenacy of my rented property. A year later the landlord wanted to sell (after 6 years of living there (coincidentally Ludlow were going to handle the selling also) so we had to accept viewings. Lights were left on, shoes trampled all over the bedrooms, constant requests with less than 24 hours notice, our belongings displayed all over the Internet on a video of the flat. Regarding our managed tenenacy, I would say we get a reply on about 1 out of every 7 emails sent. Getting a reference for moving into a new property was like praying to the Lord himself for a miracle to happen. The only one positive employee I came across, was the one that finally did our defence in about 30 minutes, as I advised that if I didn't get one after several requests, I would go to the local rental office and not leave until I received one. Also our managed tenenacy has been handled from the offices in the North of the country. Very logical when they have offices 5 minutes walk away. I think that's done on purpose so they can ignore your calls.
