If I could give zero I will! Awful experience starting from when they gave me the keys and then literally disappeared! Then the inventory was totally different from what I found in the house and when I contacted them they said contact the landlord we can’t do anything! Glad that the landlord was cooperative. Now after leaving the house it took them 10 days to send me the inventory checkout and I called them everyday and they gave a different story every day! Now I have been chasing the deposit for 1 month! Literally awful experience, avoid at any cost.

RUN AWAY FROM THEM!I have lived in many flats in London and never have I experienced such a terrible process. First of all, we wrote down a formal offer with 1 only requirement. After our offer was accepted and we payed one week worth of rent to secure the place, they tell us that specific requirement cannot be met. They took almost 3 weeks to make the landlord sign our contract, and it was voided TWICE so we had to re-sign the contract 3 times in total as they kept adding clauses to it. During the move in, we realise the flat had not been cleaned (and the contract stated everything had to be professionally cleaned, even curtains and sofas.....) but the flat was in an appalling state really. We asked for it to be cleaned again and we are still waiting..... Not to say that we are still waiting for the landlord to pay the inventory. The people in this agency are very rude and will treat you bad. One advice, never use this agency!!!

GoogleI moved from Paris to London for my business and JDW & Co helped me to find an apartment. Kate was very professional and helpful. She understood very well my expectations, identified quickly apartments to visit and she found for me a lovely one which fit with my needs. For this research, I used many agents in parallel to be sure to get the best. thanks to JDW an Kate, I got the best.

The John D Wood team in Herne Hill led by Sarah Dirilen did a brilliant job on my sale and I couldn't recommend them more highly. They achieved a really great result having found several suitable prospective buyers and multiple offers, and all quicker than I expected. The whole team were excellent - very responsive and available, professional and a pleasure to deal with throughout.

GoogleI moved from the US to London, and was very inexperienced in flat finding in the UK. John D Wood & Co Estate Agents Primrose Hill took advantage of my lack of experience in a few ways: 1. Their pictures of the flat made it look much larger and cleaner than it actually was. 2. They negotiated an arragement with a landlord who is extremely creepy towards women. 3. They encouraged me to put a down-payment as soon as possible as other people would be looking at the flat the same day (something extremely common but unknown to me because of my newness at the process.) Because of the first 2 points we ended up not renting the flat, however because of the 3rd point I lost hundreds of pounds because of this decision. For this reason I would not recommend them, even if you are a savy renter, as they seem to be experienced in taking advantage of renters.

Sardar swiftly arranged a viewing for me and he and Camilla were fantastic pushing things through so I could have a move in date within a week. Exceptional, especially with the move in date being 2 days before Christmas.Highly recommended!

As a tenant who has had John D Wood as my lettings management for the last 6 years I can say that they are absolutely awful. They don't reply to emails, don't take responsibility, don't put out of office emails on so you can't get anything urgent done. I would never use them.

GoogleAlthough we didn't end up renting a flat through John D Wood, both Harriet and Andrew were extremely helpful in our search. Harriet especially went out of her way to help us get additional information and negotiate an offer with the landlord. Unlike other agencies, the potential flats they emailed us nearly always met our criteria and would have been great options - would definitely recommend working with them!

John D Wood owns APW, a lettings management company. Having raised a complaint against APW, I was, after a ridiculous amount of badgering, passed to John D Wood. Despite terrible reviews of APW already in place and after providing (several times) a list of 14 significant issues, I was informed they had done nothing wrong. Well, if the service (or lack thereof) I received was ‘fine’, goodness knows what this company thinks is poor service. Absolutely dreadful experience. I share another reviewer's frustration when they said they'd rather give their house away than use these guys again. Truly awful. Please don't use them.
