Simon and Zoe at the St Margarets office were Fantastic during the sale of our property in October 2020. They found us good potential buyers and made the whole listing process during Covid restrictions very easy.We instructed Simon & John D Wood just after lockdown lifted in May/June 2020 and despite everyone still finding their feet having been furlough the team were fantastic. We got listed quickly and they were more than happy to advise on staging the flat, the online listing and keeping things on point overall.Having listed properties before in the Twickenham area and having had bad experience we were so very pleasantly surprised by the excellent end to end sale with Simon, Zoe and St Margarets team!

John D Wood in Wandsworth, and more specifically Shae Preece and James Setright, epitomise the worst traits of estate agents. Dishonest, unprofessional and incompetent. They incited panic in the chain unnecessarily, they downright lied on many occasions, they pestered all sides incessantly which led to numerous complaints, and when it suited them ignored all communication. Despite having no qualifications, they believed they were experts in surveying, conveyancing law and mortgages and unbelievably tried to undermine experts in these fields. They will do their best to ruin any house sale or purchase. Avoid John D Wood at all costs.

Very disappointing overall experience with John D. Wood. Property managers who simply don't care and go AWOL when you email or call with a query or issue you need help with. Took far too long and proably broke the law in terms of the time between us moving out and getting our deposit back. Would not recommend as a result of our experience. If you work there at a senior level then your staff need some management training and your whole organisation needs to up it's game.

From the moment we were given notice John D Wood failed to give anything like a decent service - emails and calls were rarely responded to. Duplicate requests for information came from a range of staff, often no response to contact - you literally have to bombard them with emails / calls to get any communication and return of deposit after months of leaving the property and a significant period (nearly a month, not the 10 days legally required I believe?) since the landlord confirmed an agreed amount.One staff member I think had good intentions and was helpful on speaking to her but the process will wear you down. I think the corporate / company ethic and values must be rotten as they simply do not provide any tiny hint of service that you might expect from a professional outfit. On checking other review sites and this one, I realise we are not alone in our experience. I'm not sure if they read these reviews, but clearly systemic change needs to happen soon or word of mouth will surely stop any further business going their way??

Very biased towards the landlord. Tenants please avoid if you want your deposit back as they would report issues at checkout that would be there at checkin. Last week I received an end of tenancy report which state issues which were present when my tenancy started. Since I've been taken advantage of many a times by rogue estate agents and I've learned my lesson so I made detailed recordings of the property at the start & end of the tenancy where I cover each and every inch of the property. I just emailed them one of the video and took screenshots from other videos that show that the issues were there beforehand. I did email Amy earlier that these were present at checkin but instead of checking the records she is going ahead to get repair quotes & ask for deductions from my deposit. I will leave as many negative reviews as I can! even register www. avoid-johndwood. com so innocent people can avoid getting ripped off.

Rupert Simmonds and Ellie Bowers at John D Wood in Notting Hill Gate are both absolutely exceptional agents. My husband and I have, as landlords, had dealings with many agents in London but Rupert and Ellie are head and shoulders above all agents we have interacted with. Terrible experience.They are unprofessional and unreliable.. Contacted agency and fixed a time view property in Headington, Oxford. I went and waited near the property and no one turned up. After 20-25 mins I called them again and they were saying let is already agreed on that property. They had no courtesy to inform me and the viewing schedule was not even in their dairy!! I would not recommend this agency.

no deposit back after 10 weeks I rented from John D Wood for 2 years. They were unbelievably incompetent and non-responsive for the entire tenure. now I have to ring them every week to try to get my deposit back.

GoogleWe found a great flat to rent in Primrose Hill with John D Wood. Luke, our agent, has been very helpful in our research. As we came from France, the process to rent was not obvious for us but Luke has always been available and quick to answer our questions. One good point, the forms and papers to rent a flat can be exchanged by e-mail and the final signature has been provided online, which allows a lot of flexibility, especially when all this is done from abroad.

GoogleChris Dale and the whole sales team were amazing. They seem to know everyone in Primrose Hill and discreetly managed a very complicated chain to sell our house and complete the sale in record time. I was nervous with so many moving parts, but Chris managed it all without any issues. They seemed to really bring the right clients through the door, and their boards on the high street attracted a lot of local attention. We would definitely use them again!

Chris Dale and Hamish Gilfeather did a wonderful job in helping us to buy our dream property and sell our house that we were very attached to. They managed to do it all in the right timeframe and very discreetly. They really understand the Primrose Hill market. They were an absolute pleasure to deal with and very professional and down to earth. I highly recommend using John D Wood in Primrose Hill.

GoogleI just wanted to post how helpful the staff at John D Wood in Primrose Hill have been with letting out my property. I had a recent incident when the smoke alarm went off in my apartment because the battery was flat. This created an annoying bleeping sound which could be heard by my neighbors. As I live in the US, and my tenant was away, Harriet Stickland and another colleague brought in a ladder from one of their homes and went to the flat to change the battery, and I wasn't paying them a management fee. I can't thank them enough for their help. A great team.

GoogleI've used a number of rental agents in NW1 over the years, as both a renter and a landlord and I have to say the staff at John D Wood in Primrose Hill are by far the best - personable, responsive and extremely professional at all times. They went above and beyond the call of duty on a number of occasions and never seemed to mind. I wouldn't even consider using anyone else to rent out or manage my flat.
