I have a property which is fully managed by JohnDWoods , they couldn't renew my contract due to sick leave of their employee , they cant solve my problem I have to reach to tenant by myself and trying to solve the issues , 20 days pasts the contract end date .

This company make an appearance of disorganization, but could not possible stay in business, if they were, indeed, as disorganized as they appear. Having managed to fend me off for three days whilst I was house-hunting in France; I finally found that the gem of a house I had found - in Perpignan - was taken off the market; in order that it could be purchased by a relative of one of the partners/directors of John D Wood. Worse than inefficient and unprofessional ... very close to fraudulent! DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE!

GoogleI have experience with three major letting agents in London. This team is by far the best! Ed, Amye, Oliver are terrific so if you want an excellent letting experience go to them. But, beware of the after service. Steven is the property manager for many of the JDW properties that are let. It is two months since we have moved into our flat. We still do not have basic things fixed that we asked for even before moving in. And, the communication is very difficult. It is like pulling teeth to get these things fixed. Never had that type of after service experience before.

GoogleAm leaving this review for John D Wood especially because of lettings negotiator Oliver Hayden. Moving to London from abroad, we had one day to look at apartments. Oliver made sure to ask enough questions to learn what we were looking for, made a good proposal for viewings and was very pleasant to have around & helpful during the viewings. We found our apartment that day and Oliver kept in touch on a daily base to make sure we were able to 'get' the apartement / close the deal. Besides from being trustworthy, pro-active and polite, Oliver is also easy to reach, which in my opinion is a big plus. This all reflects positively upon John D Wood's reputation, which I can fully recommend if you are looking for a place to live.

The Elizabeth Street branch is definitely the go to agents if you are looking for a house in this neighbourhood. The team is very affable and competent - Oliver Hayden and Tim Lawler were completely charming and delightful to work with, making a process that can often be stressful in London a seamless and enjoyable experience. Their attention to detail and wonderful people skills - from the warm greetings at the reception to the Peggy Porschen cupcakes! - really make this team and agency standout. Thank you!!

GoogleVERY GOOD!!!. Customer service as it should be in the lettings industry. John D Wood of Belgravia have simply been excellent, the best agents I came across when looking for a flat for a month, dealing with numerous agents. Tim Lawler stood out as polite and personable, showing me two properties that met and exceeded my criteria, and even took time during his day off at the weekend for a second viewing. He answered all my questions and I truly thought my experience would change once I had put the deposit down, but Tim's courteous manner continued. He even bought me a welcome cake from local Peggy Porschen's on the day of the check-in to show me some of the local businesses. I wish the Lettings Industry would take a page out of John D. Wood's book. Thank you Tim!

I rented a property which was managed by this company. The agents made promises they did not meet and the management agents are extremely poor. There was a flood and the information provided by the company turned out to be in accurate so they have refused to reimburse me for the hotel and all costs. I have had to instruct my lawyers to start a court process.

GoogleJohn D Wood helped us find a very nice apartment in a charming square in Belgravia. Every other agent we contacted was surprised we managed to find a place in that particular neighbourhood. I think their great knowledge about the areas they operate in is a huge plus, and definitely sets them apart from some of the other bigger agencies. Special thank you Oliver for accommodating our requests and helping us find a new home. And also for Amye who managed to swiftly and efficiently complete all the procedures leading-up to our move-in.

Lisa Knight, Head of Sales in the Beckenham branch posted a letter to me dated the 17th February. It said, “If you would like to arrange a no-obligation market appraisal, please do not hesitate to get in touch..” I rang the office and made an appointment for the 7th of March. I was clear that I was not putting the house on the market right now.

TrustpilotWithholding deposit despite contract terms, Avoid.
Terrible experience with the move-out process. Our contract states the deposit must be returned within 10 days. It has been over 20 days and John D Wood still refuse to release it because the landlord "hasn't replied."

If I could give zero I will! Awful experience starting from when they gave me the keys and then literally disappeared! Then the inventory was totally different from what I found in the house and when I contacted them they said contact the landlord we can’t do anything! Glad that the landlord was cooperative.Now after leaving the house it took them 10 days to send me the inventory checkout and I called them everyday and they gave a different story every day! Now I have been chasing the deposit for 1 month! Literally awful experience, avoid at any cost.

Even though the flat that we really wanted was taken off the market the same day that we were scheduled to view it, John D Wood were speedy in finding a flat on that same day that followed our strict criteria and after the first viewing we were sold on it. Oliver was incredibly efficient and very helpful throughout the process. I definitely recommend their service.

RUN AWAY FROM THEM!I have lived in many flats in London and never have I experienced such a terrible process. First of all, we wrote down a formal offer with 1 only requirement. After our offer was accepted and we payed one week worth of rent to secure the place, they tell us that specific requirement cannot be met. They took almost 3 weeks to make the landlord sign our contract, and it was voided TWICE so we had to re-sign the contract 3 times in total as they kept adding clauses to it. During the move in, we realise the flat had not been cleaned (and the contract stated everything had to be professionally cleaned, even curtains and sofas.....) but the flat was in an appalling state really. We asked for it to be cleaned again and we are still waiting..... Not to say that we are still waiting for the landlord to pay the inventory. The people in this agency are very rude and will treat you bad. One advice, never use this agency!!!

I have had really good customer service from the team at John D Wood, especially Sardar and Camilla. Sardar swiftly arranged a viewing for me and he and Camilla were fantastic pushing things through so I could have a move in date within a week. Exceptional, especially with the move in date being 2 days before Christmas.Highly recommended!
