Advice on sale of flat

I went to the Docklands branch and spoke to Tushar about the sale of my property. A very constructive meeting - Tushar clearly has a lot of knowledge and experience, which really put me at ease, (thankfully, as I know from experience how stressful selling one’s home can be). This company’s letting team is notorious for misleading tenants into believing bidding higher than the market price will give them an advantage with the landlord. Agents often hide that it’s actually them controlling the negotiations, rather than the landlords. I recently visited a nearby property out of curiosity, knowing its small size but questioning its high asking price. I spoke with the current tenant, who told me she was pressured to bid at the start of her tenancy, she offered £450 above the asking price. A year into her lease, the landlord increased her rent by £150. A year later, the same property is listed for £1,350 more than she's paying, and they still encourage potential tenants to bid higher. These practices are precisely why we need this new renters' bill. Large estate agents are more interested in scams than fair dealings.
