Rupert Simmonds and Ellie Bowers at John D Wood in Notting Hill Gate are both absolutely exceptional agents. My husband and I have, as landlords, had dealings with many agents in London but Rupert and Ellie are head and shoulders above all agents we have interacted with. Terrible experience.They are unprofessional and unreliable.. Contacted agency and fixed a time view property in Headington, Oxford. I went and waited near the property and no one turned up. After 20-25 mins I called them again and they were saying let is already agreed on that property. They had no courtesy to inform me and the viewing schedule was not even in their dairy!! I would not recommend this agency.

no deposit back after 10 weeks I rented from John D Wood for 2 years. They were unbelievably incompetent and non-responsive for the entire tenure. now I have to ring them every week to try to get my deposit back.

GoogleI was most impressed with John D. Wood, and especially my agent, Oliver Hayden. He understood immediately what I wanted and was able to show me places that I could see myself living in. It was so refreshing as other agents were just showing me anything and wasting my time, but Oliver didn't do that and was really concious of my needs. I found him to be really efficient, friendly and full of integrity. I would have no hesitation recommending him or John D. Wood to others and will be contacting them when I'm next needing an Estate Agent. In short, he made a very stressful time of my life much smoother and easier - he was a godsend!

GoogleVery good estate agents. Quick, efficient and professionals. Cannot find fault as they were able to find me a place quickly and exactly what I wanted. I have to say that they went above all and helped me when I needed them most. I would not hesitate to recommend the office at 48 Elizabeth Street. Ed, Oliver, Amye and Tanya are a great team. Would also not hesitate to engage their services when I buy my property. Very satisfied and happy with their services.

GoogleHaving recently relocated to London from abroad, we needed to find an apartment the soonest possible and John D. Wood made that happen! Oliver, Amye and Ed all helped to make our move go smoothly, keeping us updated on every step of the way and answering all of our questions. They were efficient, friendly and made us feel very welcome. I would recommend John D. Wood to everyone, and they will definitely be the agency to contact in the future.

Oliver Hayden, with whom I was in contact, was a good representation of these attributes. He managed to find me the perfect place. His energy, his easy approachability, together with his professionalism made it very easy for me to trust the agency. The whole process was fast, smooth and pleasant. I would definitely recommend this agency to anyone looking for a flat around Victoria, Pimlico or Belgravia (or anywhere else for that matter!).

GoogleWhat a great estate agents. I was worried about moving flats as I only had a short time to do so and I have to say John D Wood were incomparably better than every other agency I visited. They were very knowledgeable and also friendly but not brash or pushy like some others out there. All in all they left me feeling as though they had listened to my requirements and were responding to my needs. Great job. Cheers

Expect this company to be totally negligent returning your deposit (even if your landlord agreed for this to be released). They will make you chase your own money for weeks after you moved out, an absolute nightmare.

The worst agent service I have ever seen in my life. We have been dealing with them for more than a year. We wrote a letter to them complaining and nothing was ever done. They delegate their work to everyone, they just pretend they work. Never hire them.

J D Wood did a fantatic job helping us sell our flat in Wimbledon Park. We faced a few hurdles that were unexpected but Chris and Lewis got things on track and got the sale through when we had given up. I would thouroughly reccomend them if you are considering selling a property.

Had a really good experience! Ellie Bowers the estate agent I was in contact with was very nice, efficient... She showed me a few properties and really into consideration what I liked and did not liked and found me the ideal flat. Her approach was not as salesy as can be with some other estate agents. Feels like she really cares about her customers. I would highly recommend.

The tenants that JDW found for me in 2019 decided to leave after one year, disappointingly, but JDW (Trinity Road branch, SW18) found two people who appear to be excellent replacements, with only a 10-day void. The necessary arrangements were all made in a professional manner. I'd particularly like to single out Shoeni Oates for the excellent service and advice I've received as an inexperienced landlord.
