John D Wood London reviews

Having worked with John D Wood now for 2 moves within the Kensington area, I can say that they are a delight to work with. We've viewed and searched with many of the agents in the area but JDW was by far the most professional, most diligent and overall just kind. Specifically Katherine went above and beyond with our last rental. Doing many viewings separately for me and my husband, contacting us consistently about any potential openings she thought might fit our needs and when we were ready to make offers she was readily available and worked her magic to make our dream place ours! Definitely someone we would consider working with again. Thank you for the exceptional service Katherine! James and Thom Panto HayPositiveProfessionalism

Katherine Garces and her team at John D. Wood South Kensington helped us with every step of our flat hunt, and ultimately helped us secure a flat we absolutely love! She really listened to what we wanted and showed us the flat we ended up loving on our first day with her. During the letting process, she was extremely helpful and went over and above to make everything go smoothly for us. Would highly recommend Katherine!PositiveResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism

I wish that I read the reviews prior to my dealings with this agent. I’ve been a landlord for decades, have mostly stayed with the same company for a very long period, any issues were always resolved promptly and I felt that my custom was important. Having engaged JWD for a very short time, I’m bitterly regretting my decision. Before tenants were found, I stipulated that the I’ve always directly seen to any issues arising from the tenants regarding the property, that I engage my own contractors. But lo and behold, JDW has taken a “FLOAT “ from the rent received. It’s not possible to contact the person responsible as they only have “SKELETON “ staff working!! Since my engagement with the agency, having spoken with a few people, it transpired that there are quite a few disgruntled people like me who find that the agency doesn’t provide an adequate service.

Extraordinary experience with Umar Bryce at John D Wood today. Unlike most property agents who are trying hard to sell what they have to you, Umar started from the other side of the table by understanding what his customer was looking for. He spent over 1 hr on the phone helping me to get a feel of South Kensington area and discussing with me the pros and cons of different choices. At the end of the call, we both understood much better what I was looking for thus enabling us to move more effectively and efficiently towards a deal in the future. Umar also won my trust through his professionalism and his customer-oriented approach. As a result of the call, I cancelled a viewing with another agent, which I had booked prior to the call with Umar and I decided to follow Umar's guidance in seeking my ideal property in South Kensington area as I felt his customer-oriented approach brings much more value to me than any other agents I came across so far. For anyone who is looking for a property in this area, I highly recommend Umar Bryce at John D Wood.

I was moving to London last minute, the company and specially the agent who was handling my account helped me a lot. Tania was able to find me a great flat, I wasn’t in London at the time and she did her best to visit the property and show it to me while I was abroad. She was of great help in terms of payments, right to rent and move in dates. She made the process very easy for me and convenient. This company should be your first option when looking for houses on zoopla or rightmove as they greatly assist after you move in.

I had the pleasure of working with Tania at John D Wood a while back to find a letting property in Kensington. Tania was the top agent I worked with after many months of searching. She was honest, reliable, accountable, and service-oriented. The first property of interest fell through, and she was remarkable in sourcing a number of similar high-end properties that were within budget, in the exact locations, and had the right features I was looking for. She communicated often and with great energy across the process and helped me eventually find a perfect match without any pressure. I would recommend Tania to anyone searching in the Kensington area for a letting property.

J D Wood deliver quick tenant find …

Our flat had been on the market with another leading agency for a while but we’d not received any response. It was amazing to see Tushar work to get the property listed and the J D Wood team turn it around within a week or so to get a tenant in. Super quick and efficient. Whole process was very smooth and professional.

Kudos to Kate!

Kudos to Kate!! She's just amazing. As an overseas landlord, it's nearly impossible to know what's going on in my flat. But Kate is super communicative, and goes above and beyond the call of duty. In addition, I had my flat listed with another agency for months with no action. When I added John D Wood to help rent the flat, Kate found someone within a week. She's a real superstar and the company is lucky to have her. After all, what are estate agents but services from people? Without good people like her, they are nothing.

Parsons Green Sale (Daniel Oxtoby, Molly & Adrian)

I've just sold my flat with John D Wood team in Parsons Green. Molly and Adrian made a great impression on our initial meeting and Daniel Oxtoby was excellent in progressing the sale. Daniel's friendly manner and attention to details was great. Daniel kept in regular contact with us and made sure we were up-to-date with events. Daniel's local knowledge and industry experience pre-empted several issues which led to an overall quick resolution. Great service all round from the team. Thank you!

Bizarre

I contacted Claire Carter after receiving a leaflet through my door, to see if they are interested in selling my house. I had a visit from 'Charlotte' the same day, to do a valuation. Then I never heard from them again. Obviously not interested in selling houses. Timewasters. Bizarre.
