We used hunters to put our house up for sale in October 2024. Despite a few problems with surveys etc Hunters manged to sell our house to a cash buyer. the communication and updates during the process were very clear and professional. Selling a home is a very stressful experience however hunters helped us throughout the journey

I was buying a house through hunters, wasn’t the best experience in the world. When it came to getting the keys from the bishop Auckland office, I was told to wait outside in the cold for 15 minutes, then presented with 1 key by itself, there was no congrats on your first home or any welcome gifts or anything, just here’s your key, see you later 👍🏼😂 got into the house, it wasn’t clean, the kitchen had been flooded which warped all the kitchen floor which I then had to pay to get it sorted. They should have done a check once the owners were out the house in order to make sure it was in a fit state and as seen on the viewings. I’ve since rented out houses around that area and stayed well clear of hunters, I would never use them again after the experience I had with them.

GoogleWould avoid like the plague, took £300 cash from me as a holding deposit to let a property, only to tell me the next morning that they’ve opted for someone else. I had a bad feeling when a gentlemen came in to attempt to put a holding deposit down on the same property and they informed him to come back after I’d gone... never known anything like it, didn’t fancy replying to my email explaining my gripes either
Good Afternoon Aaron, I am the lettings manager at Hunters and have searched all of our records thoroughly and have no -one by the name of Aaron Clark registered with us or for that matter anyone by the name of Aaron Clark who have paid a holding deposit to secure a property of any description. Are you sure you have the right agent? I would be delighted to be of assistance but I have no idea who you are. For the record all emails get responded to. Holding deposits are either used as part payment of the first months rent or returned in full to applicants. It is the landlords who make a final decision on applicants as it is their property. Please give me a call on 020 7708 2002 so I can deal with you complaint. Or alternately let me know your number - Like I said I have no record of you - and I will call you. Poor overall! The property we were interested in was over valued by more than 10% and yet they wanted offers in excess of ?! My communication with staff was defensive and not amiable not sure why! My advice check out your move to check the property is actually worth what they say it is? Before you buy 🤗

Hunters castleford, WHAT a professional, pro active, friendly team, hollie, kiera, lisa could not have made the process simpler!!! Updated practically daily! On the ball! Ive used most of local agents over past 10yrs and NON have come close to their high standard of quick comnunication and friendly manner!!! Couldnt recommend highly enough!! Thanks to the whole team for making a difficult process as str8 forward as possible! Best agents local to me and would not hesitate to use again...although think i will be staying put for a while 🙂

Worst nightmare you could have if you deal with Hunters Abbeywood. No repair on time, always defensive and lieing even when you present them with evidences for their unresponsiveness. Always be a judge in their own case and their manager is also part of them. Please avoid them

Last year in November i sold my house with Hunters. Due to reasons beyond my control the sale process was not as easy as anticipated however the reassurance and professionalism from hunters where outstanding. I went with hunters theough word or mouth and i have already recommended Hunters to friends who i know are selling or thinking of selling their property. They are an amazing team and so friendly. Thankyou ladies for making a difficult situation so bareable. We got there in the end.

Just don't use this Estate Agent. And really don't use them to do an Inventory. They made so many errors we had to almost redo it ourselves. They missed the Fridge Freezer. Washing machine and Dishwasher in the Kitchen. They said there was a white wooden wardrobe in the bathroom, there isn't I could go on and on. I have asked for a refund but of course not heard anything!

We were grateful that they had a sales progressor who was able to speak to everyone in the chain, something that only independent agents have, this meant that after 8 months from accepting an offer we finally moved.

I had a viewing arranged and nobody could give me a meeting point for a large apartment building with several entrances. Spent nearly 20 minutes at the location wondering around and trying to reach the person that was supposed to show me around, all calls declined. Office couldn’t get through to her either and when she finally calls me is to rudely tell me off for not showing up at a different entrance when she never told me where to go, speaking to me in an angry tone and then hanging up.

Very knowledgable of both the area and the buying / selling process, he worked hard to progress our purchase which went smoothly and quickly.
