AVOID

AVOID. Incompetant, lazy, and possible worse. Hindwoods managed our property for 8 years, we only stayed with them as people bought and sold, over that time, and getting a block wide agreement to change the firm was not organised. To give one example out of dozens. We requested a guttering repair, they took 5 months to get back to us with a quote, that quote was for 8k. We sacked them, then organised a quote ourselves in 24 hours, had the guys come and do the work 3 days later, at a cost of £800. Shockingly bad in every imaginable way.

Worst Service

Been Trying to chase up with them to get a commercial unit for lease. No ONE in the company cares. Worst experience with a lettings agency that would treat their prospects like this. Forget following up, need to email them thrice to get a reply once. Calls are NEVER answered. During these days with a competition on their toes, this company would barely survive. If the owner/manager cares, please get in touch for the proofs of screenshots of the calls tried and emails as well.

I can't speak for their sales team or their ability to advertise properties to let, but this is without a doubt the worst estate agents for property management I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with. To start off, their property manager, Richard Gibbons, is a ghost -- he'll respond via email but it is impossible to get that man on the phone. In addition to this, he is terrible at responding to anything in a timely fashion. He has received 2 emails over the last week requesting a tenancy reference, which he has failed to respond to and has delayed our application for tenancy at a new property to the extent that we may now lose it. Also, the rest of the staff are extremely rude. When we called to ask if there was anyone else who could possibly provide the reference we need, we were bluntly told that only Richard could as he is the property manager and that he's out until Monday so we would just have to wait. Considering we have already been waiting a week due to his inability to check his emails and respond to them, I found their attitude and unwillingness to do anything astoundingly incompetent. The final, and most important, aspect of their incompetence is that of their unwillingness to deal with the issue of a violent tenant. After my partner and I were both attacked by her (grabbing us round the throat, hitting us, screaming death threats), we contacted Richard Gibbons who said that they would not be getting involved or informing the landlord and, if we wanted anything done, then we would have to contact the police. This I found plain disgusting -- they're risking the safety of their other tenants because they don't want the hassle of having to deal with evicting and replacing one who makes lives hell for others and makes them fear walking around their own home. If you have the possibility of avoiding business with them, I would strongly advise you to do so. They're a complete disgrace. And if I could give them less than 1 star, I would do so.

Stear clear of Hindwood management agent

This management company has breach their agreement with us as our managing agent. The have procrastinated and done zero to deal with cealing of the outside walls to prevent mould which is running rampant and is a health issue. When asked for information from the directors, they provider nothing. We need to find a competent management agent. Watch this space!

Hindwoods managed our freehold. Beyond incompetent. Reply to emails after you chase up 4 times by email and call 3 times. We have been waiting since June for our reserve fund to be paid back after we terminated our account with them. I could add 5 years of complaints, but just know this. They are awful.
