My wife and I recently approached Saleem Kamal at Greene & Co in West Hampstead and his service has been second to none. Completely away from any stereotype, he offered assured and informative advice, where to look, what would provide the best value and return on investment, what to look for when being a first time buyer and so much more, all in the knowledge that we were not 100% sure about committing to anything just yet. The West Hampstead and Kensal Rise branches of Greene and Co are highly recommended if you are looking to buy in the area!! Saleem Kamal of W.H. delivered exceptional service, being one of the very rare estate agents to actually understand what you require in a property within a certain budget, and knowledgeable to give relevant insight into the local area and general market. His non-pushy, friendly attitude and keenness to go beyond made my search less stressful as a budding property investor. An estate agent who actually 'gets it', not just about getting the biggest commission.

It's hard to say "avoid" because if Greene has a listing or is managing the property then it may be a necessity to deal with them but be very careful and make sure to document everything in writing. I had a very bad experience with them over the course of four years in a property. I was the tenant and they were the agent and property manager. I asked for an unfurnished property and arrived to move in to find the house exactly how the previous tenants had left it. Furniture, kitchen items, trash, etc everywhere. Greene had done nothing to prepare the property for me. Over the course of four years I generally could avoid them but if something needed fixing, it would take an average of 3-4 weeks to get done and generally would only be a temporary fix before it broke again. Most shocking of all, five weeks after moving out, they still have not given me back my deposit and are coming up with deceitful reasons to reduce the amount they return. Issues they were unable to fix are now being charged to me. "Missing items" that were left by the previous tenants (which they eventually had to take away) are being charged to me. Normal wear and tear, including marks on the walls that I paid for to be painted when I moved in, are being charged. I've never dealt with such unprofessional agents in London and will never use Greene again in any capacity.

Having worked with a number of Estate Agents in West Hampstead on looking for and buying a property, you really find out how good they are when you run into trouble or have issues. Most of them can't be bothered or just lose interest and don't return your calls. I was really super impressed with James and Faruk, they really went that extra mile when they didn't need to. I would highly recommend them and Greene & Co , they are well organised , pleasant to deal with and very efficient, a sad scarcity in seems in this industry.

I was fortunate to meet James Widdowson of Greene and Co. when my wife and I needed to sell our flat. James as a property valuer led a team of sales persons who were clearly very skilled and soon organised a large number who viewed the property. Property sales are complex and demanding experiences and quite challenging for the novice as were we James held our hand through the entire experience and facilitated a successful sale to our mutual delight. We are happy to recommend him and his team at Greene and Co.

James, Bonnie and Abel did a great job selling my flat in West Hampstead (well, Kilburn really). They managed to get a number of prospective buyers through the door from the word go which helped a realistic asking price to be arrive at. A buyer was lined-up and but when they could no longer go ahead with the purchase another buyer was promptly found who also bid the full asking price. Communication was efficient and courteous throughout the sale. I would recommend them to anyone selling a property in the area.

Brilliant experience so far with Greene & Co, initially i was very nervous about selling my flat, that was until i spoke with Leighton who completely put myself and my husband at ease and made the process seem much less daunting. Having dealt with many estate agents in London in the past, this was the first time i felt like someone actually had time to listen to me and even though i bombarded Leighton with a million questions, he was always polite, friendly and quick at responding to each and everyone of them. The team at Greene & Co as a whole have made the experience of selling my home enjoyable, they are all very professional but at the same time approachable and very friendly i highly recommend them.

When I was contacted by Bonnie Pooley, I have to confess that I thought ' "sales progresser" - who needs that? '. Turns out, I did. You do. If not for Bonnie's tireless pursuit of solicitors and sellers I'd be now living on the street. Or in an asylum. Or a prison. She kept me informed at every step (yes, solicitors - it's possible to use a phone!) and offered a shoulder to cry on and an ear to yell into on the many occasions when that was needed. So, a big thank you from me. I can't just now contemplate ever subjecting myself to the housing market again, but if I do, I'll ask for Bonnie :-)

Tried to buy a flat through Greene and Co West Hampstead. They overstated the floorplan size by 15% so the whole sales and bidding process was done under false sales specifications. We won the bid but then pointed out that the basis of the sale was false and they didnt respond. They put the flat back on the market without notifying us with still the incorrect information, knowingly decieiving unsuspecting buyers. After looking at their other flats online we realised their floorplans are mainly overstated in size and typically if a buyer goes through Greene and Co they will overpay between £100,000 and £200,000 for the flat. These people cannot be trusted and their work ethic stinks!

They were the best out of the other local estate agents and were the only ones to tell me what procedures I had to go through to put it on the market. The buyers had jitters but Greene and Co were successful at pushing them to make the purchase so we could secure the house we wanted to buy. My only slight feedback was that sometimes I was liasing with different people and it would have been easier to have just one point of contact but otherwise I thought they were extremely professional and very courteous. I also bought the property through them, and again they were the only estate agents to show me the flat I actually wanted! so another bonus.

Bonnie Pooley you're an absolute star! We were having difficulty selling our apartment but Bonnie coordinated between the buyer, their solicitor and our solicitor to push the transaction through when we had almost given up hope.
