Rented a flat "professionally managed" by Hamptons in Kilburn for one year and it was a pretty awful experience. The check in inventory was done while the flat was undergoing refurbishment works and they couldn't check it properly. When I entered the place was a mess with long white dog hairs dust and trash everywhere and appliances not working including the fridge and half the hobs. It took them 3 months to sort out all the issues. Tried contracting a rent reduction but they wouldn't agree. When agreed a moving date to vacate the flat we agreed I wouldn't do any "professional cleaning" (giving the state of the flat when I entered) but nevertheless they asked 300£ of the deposit in the end. Also had to deal with so many different people cause apparently there was a massive staff turnover. I dealt with many estate agents as a tenant but never had it this bad.
