My roommate and I were searching for a 2 bedroom flat in Bloomsbury and looking to move in in less than a month. Be careful, they seem like they like to steal holding deposits, deny you, then swap your deposit into another property to force a dispute from the banking side to make the bank responsible for paying you back in order for them to keep your deposit and the property. A very slimey scheme.

We take allegations like this seriously, but what you’ve described has not happened and is not how holding deposits are handled. We have no record that matches this review, and the profile name (“Who is that?”) doesn’t provide enough information to identify any transaction or applicant. To be completely clear: We do not “swap” holding deposits between properties. We do not keep holding deposits by forcing disputes. If a payment is cancelled the same day, any remaining “pending” status is between your bank and the card network and can take time to reverse, even when the cancellation is immediate on our side. If you’re a genuine applicant and want this resolved, send us the details so we can trace it properly: property address, date paid, amount, and a payment reference/last 4 digits to kate@glp.co.uk. We will then confirm the status with our payment provider and provide evidence of the cancellation/refund. If you’re unable to provide any identifying details, then we can only conclude this review does not relate to our business.

GoogleI had an amazing experience with GLP while looking for a flat to rent with my partner. Jessica and Becky were handling our renting process. They are extremely proficient and great at communication. All our questions were answered promptly. The process was extremely smooth and I had the best renting experience with them in London so far. Highly recommend.

Ellivia Kennedy and Tyrone van der Valk were supposed to meet me at 3pm on Saturday to show me the flat I enquired about on Friday. I got a confirmation email with the address of the flat. I showed up on time and none of them could be found. Rang Tyrone’s mobile multiple times and it just went to voicemail. Rang the office and no one picked up. Emailed him as well and no response. Utterly unprofessional, rude and it’s amazing how they are still in business.Edit: my initial review said Sunday but was a typo. I was there on Saturday and have the text, email and phone records to prove I called the only contact number that was provided to me. I was at the property on time and did not see anyone either.

Thank you for taking the time to review us Richelle. I have looked into this matter and can see that the appointment was confirmed for 3pm on the Saturday not the Sunday. This was also emailed to you along with Ellivia's contact details (all of this is recorded on our system). She was at the property at the agreed time on the Saturday and called you to see if you were planning to attend but you did not answer. It seems on this occasion there was a misunderstanding, please do check your original confirmation email and you will reach the same conclusion. Tyrone is currently on annual leave so would not have his work phone with him and the office is closed on Sundays so there would not be anyone available to take the call.We would of course be delighted to show the apartment to you at another time that suits you, please note that we cannot offer Sunday apartments on this apartment as it is tenanted. We can be reached on 0207 734 4062 and look forward to helping you find your perfect property.

Having dealt with other lettings companies, I’ve been wary of renting in London. However, I’ve been renting from GLP for the past year, and they have been nothing if not excellent. Becky was extremely supportive and fast in helping me find a flat, and was professional and honest with me throughout the whole process. After moving in, Natasha has been a superb property manager, and has been highly efficient, quick, and helpful with the few issues that arose. When my contract came up for renewal, Natasha was extremely responsive, followed up my queries quickly, keeping me informed throughout the process, and was highly understanding and accommodating with my requirements. In all our communications, she was professional while maintaining a human touch, something I greatly appreciated and have rarely seen with other letting companies. The renting process with GLP was extremely easy, straightforward, and professional, and with an exceptional staff, I would highly recommend renting from them.

Razieh is an exceptional agent who helped me find an apartment. I was desperate to find a place, and she went above and beyond by providing me recommendations nonstop for three months. Although looking for an apartment might be tedious, Razieh made the process enjoyable and effortless. She had my total trust, and it made me feel secure. She is incredibly honest and humble.She swiftly ascertains the client's requirements and makes every effort to meet them. She is considerate and readily available. Additionally, Jessica was incredibly helpful with the documentation process and during the first few days of moving to the new house. She has a keen eye for detail and is both quick and efficient. We have been using the same company to rent out and manage our apartment for 8 years and when they went through some personnel issues we had to find an alternative. We shortlisted 2 companies and Becky Hill from GLP was the first to respond. She had a friendly and professional demeanour and when we met in person at our apartment I made the immediate decision to go ahead with Becky being the listing manager. She quickly arranged a set of keys to be cut, photos of the apartment to be taken, the property listed and rented out within 2 weeks for a very good rent on a long let and all tenancy documents completed including tenant reference checks and a rent guarantor. I can't yet comment on the property management aspects of GLP yet as the tenants are due to move in shortly but everything else has been really straightforward. I would highly recommend Becky and GLP based on what I have seen so far and plan to have them manage and let our apartment for some years to come.
