Response time is awful, agents don't keep their promises of providing needed documents, even provide misleading information (we were told and its in contract that flat is semi-furnished and it was left more than fully furnished), takes months to deal with left furniture and other things.

Dreadful customer service and total arrogance. Contact 1: After we took a day off work and travelled to London, Foxtons' rep said the house we were viewing has been sold the previous day and refused to take us. Contact 2: tried to make an appointment and left messages by voicemail, text and enquiry form, but got no reply from Foxtons and so could not go. Contact 3: Foxton's rep denied getting any of the previous messages and so we re-booked for a later day which was much less convenient. In the event, my partner could not get time off work, so I phoned to see whether we could get a trusted family friend who owns 10 houses in London [really] to go instead, but Foxton's rep turned this down, saying he would refuse any offer from us, and their online pictures showed everything.

Tried to buy a property through them and the result was very disappointing which resulted in 1500 GBP loss for us. They promised too many things to the vendor which they could not achieve in terms of searching another property for him and finally he pulled out when our solicitor prepared already the exchange. Also they lied about the service charge amount, the flat was advertised with 2500 GBP service charge but when we got the docs from the solicitor it was 5200 GBP. Besides the fact that the agent was constantly late.

Worst service ever!!! After tenancy ends, they did not pay agreed amount of deposit to us. The kept 400 from our deposit. We email and call them for many times, but they completely ignore us. As a tenant we have the right to know why they did not deduct agreed amount of deposit. As a customer, we have the right to be respected. Foxtons is very rude, they ignore our complaint. We can't do anything by calling them or emailing them. Tried to call the property manager, property manager team, canary wharf foxtons, they just cut our calls. I never see an agent that rude!

I have dealt with Foxtons twice in last 6 months and both times it has been a fantastic experience. We were assisted by Zarina Belic and she is an absolute delight to work with. So much so, that during our second apartment hunting, I directly reached out specifically to her. She was not only able understand our needs and priorities precisely but also had a keen interest in making sure that we get the very best deal. I would thoroughly recommend her for your apartment hunting experience. Overall Foxtons have been great with their services, processes and hassle free experience. Foxtons has professional surface and nice friendly agents, but predatory and expensive. Despite paying GBP440 for in commissions which is already at top of the market, they did their best to try to get more money out of me when I used the agreed break clause. I would not use then again. In general I can tell you that you guys are getting screwed in your so called 'free market'. Transaction cost are rampant and clearly favors the more informed agents/landlord. Not the signs of a well functioning market.

I was a very high maintenance client and knew in my mind exactly what I wanted from an apartment but just couldn't find the one that was just right. Grace from Foxtons was very patient with me and worked really hard on my behalf and took me to a number of viewings - at least 10. I eventually ended up seeing a property that hadn't even been listed after doing some other viewings that day that were not for me. I now live in that property! Very happy.

Foxtons is a great and fancy agency only up until you pay them their fee for doing absolutely nothing. I had the bad experience to rent a flat through them and every time i had an issue the only thing the said was to contact my landlord. And the best part of the story is that when i moved out of the flat the landlord did not returned the deposit back and they done absolutely nothing. Very very bad and expensive experience. I highly do not recommend. Honestly this was the worst agency i ever used. Amongst other awards you certainly win the one for rip people off for doing nothing.

He went beyond just showing us properties that merely corresponded to mechanical search criteria; instead, he showed initiative by showing us a property which would be perfect for us by helping lead mutually beneficial negotiations between us and the landlord. Agree with the previous, they give you all the sales pitch and promise to get you more money than other estate agents including bragging how great they are. As soon as you sign the contract the service is rubbish, you barely hear from them in weeks and provide plenty of excuses when you complain. I placed two properties with them and terminated both contracts as soon as i could, other supposedly low end estate agents were able to get far more viewings and actual offers unlike foxtons. If you want to sell your place keep walking past foxtons and on to a decent estate agent. Funny enough i dealt with two ex foxtons sale people at the decent estate agents, i wonder why they left....

Our experience with Foxtons was very good. We were looking to rent a flat around Canary Warf and both Ehab Barrain and Joe Hornby took very good care of us. The online services are easy to navigate and made the whole process very quick and simple. The property we found is managed by the landlord therefore we can not comment on the ongoing service. The reason for giving only 4 stars is that the service provided is rather on the expensive side, although you just pay when you found a matching property. We would definitely consider using Foxtons again in the Future.

After a very disappointing experience with a local letting agent ( ridiculously low ball offers and continually bringing in people to our home who were never going to be able to afford it), we decided to spend the extra fee and try Foxtons out. Within 1 week we had an offer on our flat at a level close to ask. We exchanged 6 weeks later, and completed within 2 weeks. We interacted with 3 people continually at fixations, the negotiator, the senior negotiator, and the area manager. They all kept each other very well informed and so if one was out you could always pick up with one of the other two. Importantly, I got the sense that they were trying to represent all three sides ( buyer, seller and themselves)- as opposed to in it for a quick fee. Would recommend without reserve

Oh Foxtons, where do i start? Our query was being managed by the extraordinarily sublime and punctual Karolis Sadauskas, who was very helpful and accommodating for our additional requests. He guided us every step of the way and made our journey of finding a new home the easiest transition we could've ever wished for. I almost wish i would have to move flats again, just so I could get Karolis' professional, incomparably prompt communication and service again. Wish I could give 0 stars! The worst experience with an estate agent yet, out of dozens, not that the benchmark was overly high either... our guy didn’t even show up for our first appointment, forcing a colleague of his to inform us he had “locked himself both out of his car and the flat he was showing”. This should have clued us into the absolute incompetence of our agent, since handling keys efficiently is probably the one if he most important aspects of his job. Stupidly, we rescheduled. He continually proved himself to be wholly unintelligent, taking us both to flats way out of and way under our budget, none of which we wanted to see. It was mildly a kidnapping to all intents and purposes. The cherry on the cake was when he took us to a flat he hadn’t shown before, knocked on a door, lead us inside, and, to the bafflement of the tenants, proceeded to show us around. About 5 minutes in he left the room, whilst the tenants demonstrated the location of the boiler etc, only to return and tell us he had taken us into the WRONG BLOODY FLAT! Imagine our complete embarrassment in learning that not only was the flat not listed with Foxtons, it was not for sale at all! He did not even apologise or take ownership for these acts of utter stupidity! Wholeheartedly DO NOT recommend Foxtons. They only care about crunching numbers and nothing for quality or customer service. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
