We have been with Dextors for a few years since they took over Douglas Martin's and to be honest, initially it was very difficult as there didn't appear to be clear lines of communication, with various names being involved.However more recently, Monika has been front and centre for all of our enquiries, complaints and coounication in general and things have improved greatly.I look forward to hopefully giving 5 stars this time next year.

First tenancy experience

First of all I have no previous experience to compare with but I as per my opinion Dexters really tries to provide good service. There are minuses and pluses, but in general I have a good opinion about this company.I was checking in my apartment but it was not clean at all. Dexters could manage cleaning service of the carpets on the 24 of Dec right before Christmas.But after check in I have been receiving a good assistance from Property Management as well as Maintenance teams.Many thanks to Jada Palmer for her willingness to help, address the issues and quick communication with the owner of apartment.

Dan did a great job. The professional staff was eager to help and ready to answer any queries. We mostly dealt with Dan who helped us from across the pond to rent a fabulous home away from home. Sadly once we paid the fees and deposit we had no more contact with Dan. The move out experience was extremely frustrating. Especially for a foreigner. It took over a month, many phone calls and emails later to get our deposit returned to us. Too many different departments who have zero or very poor communication between them. We were a very low priority. We literally had to threaten legal action before finally getting our deposit returned.

We chose Dexters Finsbury Park for the sale of our home after a not-so-nice experience with a different estate agent. From the moment we got in touch all the way through completion we have been very impressed by their approach and great understanding of both the current market and their clients’ ever changing needs. Everyone we spoke to at the office, either over the phone, email or in person was corteous, approachable, kind and most importantly, very knowledgeable. Louie Mooniaruck, the sale consultant looking after our sale from start to end, was all of the above plus extremely patient with all our questions and the inevitable concerns we had during the sale process - he was also with us from the very beginning when conducting all of the bookings and viewings, and we couldn’t be happier with the extremely high level of service we’ve received. Samuel - South Kensington office - Amazing

Samuel, from the South Kensington office, has been working with me for over six months, finding a flat for my son to move to the UK from Australia. He has been unfailingly attentive, kind and very, very patient. We found a flat and then my son's visa date was changed (he's going to university) and so we had to cancel. Samuel was so positive and kind with my changing everything after his hard work. I then contacted him in November (it's now January) and he straight away remembered me, my son and what we needed. It was amazing. He helped us find the absolutely perfect flat, and helped us through the process. It's been a challenge because of the time difference etc, but I have never, ever worked with a real estate agent (as we call them in Aus) as professional and as helpful as Samuel.

It all comes down to the individual agent you have as your contact, and I count myself very lucky to have Fahima as my contact. I have been with Dexters for many years and have had good experience over the years, but I find that Fahima is outstanding. My wife and I met her at the apartment and found her charming. She has also dealt very proficiently with a contractor who did a very poor job and who were uncooperative in returning to remedy the problem (and who in my opinion Dexters should never use). Eventually I gave up with them, and Fahima found a very satisfactory alternative who was new to Dexters. In my opinion she is a great advertisement for Dexters.

Renting and support after moving in

We have rented from Dexters. Our property viewing experience was good as Jack Beacom arranged for us to view the property twice before deciding. However, we felt a bit pressured when we learned many others were bidding for the rental and it felt like a now or never decision. After moving in we raised multiple repair issues which Talia White promptly dealt with. Talia is responsive and considerate as a property manager. Overall, we are happy with the support after moving in.

I lived in a Dexters new build (Ambrose House) for about 18 months from 2022-2023. Although there were some promised amenities that weren't delivered (gym, Tesco express, etc), a lower score wouldn't reflect the service we received from two attentive members of the team who went above and beyond.I was particularly impressed by Petros when he came on board. I found him personable, responsive and helpful. He and Suzy, another fabulous associate, are great members of the Dexters team and every interaction with them was pleasant. Suzy provided clear and consistent phone and email support and advice during our moving out period and Petros was proactive in ensuring we received our deposit once the necessary checks were done on our apartment.

Disapointed service by Wimbledon office

We moved into a flat in Wimbledon on 1st December through Dexters. Once we moved in, we noticed many maintenance issues on the premises. The window can not be closed due to and the whole house is cold. Three heaters can not be switched off. The shower is not functioning. And our garage is full of garbage and can not park the car. Today is the 5th of December, and after contacting many people in different departments, nothing has been addressed. Very disappointing. We are still suffering in the house with a little child.
