GoogleTENANTS TO AVOID THIS AGENT! Utterly disappointed with Dexter. The tenancy management team failed to push the landlord to return the deposit weeks and months after we moved out. Even though most of the deposit was undisputed, Dexter did not push the landlord to return it. They left the landlord threatening us to pay the disputed amount by refusing to return us any of the undisputed amount. Then we had to go through TDS (Tenancy Deposit Scheme) process out of no choice in the end to ask for any deposit back, and as expected, the adjudicator concluded the landlord should return all of our deposit. Dexter could have been more neutral and professional in this situation, rather than favouring the landlord who was clearly threatening the tenants.NegativeProfessionalism

GoogleWe had a good experience with Dexters regarding arrangements for moving into our new rental home. However the experience was not so good with regards to return of our deposit following the end of our tenancy. We were forced to go through TDS dispute process to recover any of the money, even though the vast majority of it is not in dispute with the landlord. Although this was eventually resolved via TDS, this took 4 months and we felt Dexters could have done a lot more to help agree with the landlord to return the undisputed amount of the deposit much earlier in the process.
Following our feedback, Dexters did follow up with an apology and to discuss what went wrong - so hopefully their process will improve in future.
