Dexters in Acton are a great estate agency. We have been lucky enough to be helped out by the wonderful Farah, who has made our journey super smooth and efficient. She has been there to support us throughout the start of our hunt through to the signing of the contract, and has answered all questions that have popped up throughout. We had a chance to work with the kindest agent we’ve ever met called Lara from this branch. She’s been indescribably efficient since day one and has helped us out at every turn. Any problems that we encountered, no matter how big, Lara was able to help us through to the end. In particular, she found us our dream property when we’d lost all hope in finding anything within our budget, and she went above and beyond to ensure that we could negotiate a desirable price and sort out the moving dates to fit with our schedule. She has worked tirelessly as our main mediator which has meant that no other third parties were involved and ensured that all communications between landlords went smoothly. Simon Harding was communicative, understanding and professionally effective, as we navigated the steps to securing our new home. Simon and Dexters Acton had a professional and polite work culture that greatly mitigated the stress of moving. Simon was on call and was highly communicative and friendly with both myself and my partner. On a separate note, Dexters partner Lettingshub, (aside from their necessary credit checks) were a nuisance to deal with, and repeatedly asked for the same information multiple times and actually cold called me during work hours attempting to sell me third party insurance, they also sent me emails labelled urgent with threats (emboldened in red lettering) warning me that I may lose my upcoming tenancy if I were to not respond, as I investigated it was simply another non-mandatory option to purchase insurance. Moving home is stress enough, but trying to decipher what is necessary to respond to and what is nothing more than an opportunistic sales pitch, during work hours is beyond irritating. Simon and the human team at Dexters were fantastic and kind, unfortunately the system in place at Lettingshub is and was simply not good enough. It would have been a breeze if we’d been allocated somebody of Simons caliber for our credit checks, in person or on the phone in one scheduled meeting at our convenience. As opposed to a dragged out, ineffective and erratic computer operated credit checker that has forgotten its primary function as a customer service.

Lara at Dexter's Acton has been a god send with helping me look for a flat to rent these past 4 weeks. Lara has gone above and beyond with actively seeking properties with my requirements and also within my budget. Throughout this process Lara has kept me informed and reassured me that everything will be ok every step of the way. Lara has been attentive and understanding of my situation especially with this ruthless market and cost of living crisis we're all going through. I believe Dexter's Acton should be proud to have a lettings negotiator like Lara she has definitely made me feel confident to be renting a property with Dexter's. There are many estate agents who do not come close to having compassion and understanding like Lara has provided. A lot of agents could learn from her. The team at Dexter’s Lettings dept was extremely friendly and helpful generally but in particular in dealing with utility issues that arose as the deadline for completing the renovations was looming. Aran was the lynchpin and my point of contact - quickly answering my questions and solving problems. When Aran was on leave Elizabeth stepped in at a crucial moment to organise a gas engineer. I was very impressed with the service Dexter’s provided - they felt like a safe pair of hands. Thank you.
