The level of professionalism from staff, the responsiveness, the quality of their work, it really shines through; it's made both affairs as stress-free as possible. They were excellent at answering my many, many questions as a first-time buyer (and first time landlady), were accommodating with arranging both my viewings and those of prospective tenants, and have kept me up-to-date with all steps of the process. In this market, DA are quite unique, and I have no doubt I will use them again if I decide to close the circle and also sell a property.

The first week after David Andrew took us on we had several viewings booked in, one of which turned into a sale.
Greg was a pleasure to work with. He was incredibly professional (and reassuring at times of stress!). He gave good advice and was always contactable on the phone and by email. I never had to chase to get hold of him and always had complete faith in him.
The whole team were great. Due to lockdowns and working from home I would often pop into the agency to ask them to scan documents for the lawyers, which they were always happy to do.

GoogleCriminals, got mis sold a flat we rented - Got told all of the furniture comes in the flat, the flat is managed by David Andrew and therefore we wouldn’t have to deal with the landlord (all recorded in a viewing video), turns out it wasn’t true. To prevent the same thing happening to other people when the flat got passed onto new tenants I phoned up and asked them to disclose these facts during viewings, along with the fact that the flat needed major structural works (was subsiding causing massive cracks on all walls and flooding the downstairs flat. The landlord couldn’t extend our contract originally in order to get these works done, but changed her mind). Obviously none of this was passed onto tenants. Honestly just concerned with money, not being honest with people.

I am really sorry to read your negative review which you felt necessary to post at the end of your tenancy. I see that your flat mate, Kita Luna, has also posted a similar review. From our records, I note that you moved in to the property in January 2021 and vacated in October 2023. We are extremely proud of the high level of service we deliver to vendors, buyers, landlords and tenants and take all negative reviews very seriously.
I apologise if you were told that David Andrew Estates were managing this property at the time of your initial viewing. This would have been a genuine mistake, but the management arrangements for the flat would have been communicated to you clearly during the referencing process and when you came to collect the keys on move-in day.
As the property was managed by the landlord, and the landlord was your primary point of contact, there should have been no day-to-day involvement by David Andrew Estates during the duration of you stay in the flat. However, we do have an obligation to inform landlords on recent market trends and rental values. As you are aware, rents have increased considerably over the last two years. This has occurred as a result of increased rental demand, a decline in available stock due to rising mortgage rates and a decline in new landlords entering the market because of increased tax liabilities and government legislation.
Having reviewed your complaint, my understanding is that there is an ongoing claim for a subsidence issue at the property which was the cause for some of the disrepair in the property. This is not unusual with properties in London with many buildings sitting on clay soil and with large trees in close proximity. Unfortunately these insurance claims are often very protracted while liability is established and repairs are scheduled and undertaken.
If you are still not happy with the above response, please contact Theo Dorges by email at theo@davidandrew.co.uk. He will provide you with a formal response to your complaint. We would then encourage you to contact The Property Ombudsman should you decide to escalate this further.
