Dear Simon, We know that you & your wife are upset because you feel that we did not assist you as you would have liked in obtaining a substantial price reduction on our client sellers property. But please remember we work for the client seller not the buyer and if you were looking for a reputable estate agent to sell your property you would also expect your agent to have your best interests at heart. Despite having received multiple interest in the property my team and I worked hard to get your offer accepted. You were not the most straight forward of buyers to deal with, for example, you claimed that you did not make the asking price offer when i was told that you had because you were eager to secure the property due to the other interested parties. It maybe because Levent was off that day when we spoke that you tried to catch us out to check if there really was multiple interest in the property. I personally handled your purchase file and throughout the transaction it felt like you tried to catch us out. You seem to have a deep mistrust of estate agents and no respect for all the hard work we do in the background especially when progressing a sale. I personally kept in contact with you and your wife throughout the process but feel it was because YOU ‘did not get your way' with your price reduction request that you are now upset. At one point you both became too busy to take my calls, and your wife started to ignore my emails. You went behind our backs knocking on the next door neighbours to get the clients telephone number because you did not trust us so you made direct contact with my seller only to be told exactly what i had already communicated to you both. Despite what you think, we are not all bad agents, most of us do a stellar job dealing with very stressful chains, difficult solicitors, tight deadlines etc but we always do our very best for everyone in the chain because we treat people with respect. We have always looked after our buyers, if you check our reviews on allAgents you will see how highly we are rated by our buyers, and every single one of those reviews are genuine. As a company owner, and a local resident, I am extremely disappointed that you have a left a negative review without a thought because the business is the livelihood of myself and my staff and we feel it was unfair of you to leave a negative review when we did all we could to help you purchase your dream home - our reputation is of paramount importance to us. After completing on the purchase you phoned the office and requested that we remove your property from Rightmove - we explained to you that Rightmove automatically does this after a short period of time but you felt the need to contact them directly. The reason why we continue to advertise for a period of time after the transaction goes through is to show other prospective clients that we have sold in the area so they too come to us for valuations, this is no secret, all agents operate in this way and we have always done so. Throughout the transaction we have always been in communication with you. We have always tried to help. I even helped you discuss furniture with the seller and arranged them to leave a bunch of items for you - when i didn't need to because this is not a part of my job. You seem to have a short memory. We are an established firm and do not take it personally when we do not get repeat business. Our service levels never drop because we are professional agents. It is very easy today to write a damaging review to discredit a business and after all we have done for you we are very disappointed that you felt the need to write one.
