DO NOT USE. WORST AGENCY EVER. REPORTED TO THE PROPERTY REDRESS SCHEME The company director Jorge Sanchez is very unprofessional, rude and untrustworthy. First of all, they take people in without doing proper checks. The person in the next room was smoking weed. Once we complained, they asked him to leave. If you already rent with City Rooms and having problems, report to PRS - Property Redress Scheme. Also get everything in writing. Their rating speak for themselves.

I was hesitant to rent with this agency at first because of the quality of reviews, but frankly I’ve been pleasantly surprised. There were some issues when I first arrived like the heating in the house not working, the hob not working, mold in my shower et . But whenever I flagged this to management, they were always quick to respond and send a contractor out. Rent is a bit expensive for what it is, but I’m happy with the location and quality of my room. Big shout out to Shelby in particular!

Most corrupted agency in london avoid

Manager is lying it never had two fridges and freezers Avoid this corrupted agency at all costs! I’ve been a tenant of there nearly coming to a year they provided no working fridge or freezer and now trying to do a claim against me even when I tried to communicate with them they ignored it after 6 months engineer who confirmed it needs replacing in month 4 and they still did nothing and now they trying to liar and get money from me even if they broke the contract on the first month I obtain the rental room. Honestly worst experience I’ve ever had and I’ve been in house shares more then 7 years. Do not give them any money! Awful people and awful service! Avoid! Update this bum of a manager has never visit property there was never two fridges and freezes they are pure fraudsters give it large but never say anything on phone in person karma will get your company. Taking money out my acc without consent! I never new it was legal for Tommy to put money in my account for me to get property not even mention reposit who have stole money from my account! Corrupted agency avoid at all costs they mislead you and don’t even tell you what your signing up for. Scammers! Police have been reported! Oh yeah I did try communicate several times several months they did nothing! Absolutely liars and the manager/owner is biggest coward I’ve ever seen!

I rented a room for 6 months via CityRooms , having moved to london for the first time. My letting agent, Andrea, as well as his colleages, ensured a high level of communication and messaged throughout the tenancy. They were respectful and made my move to London hassle-free. I would recommend renting with CityRooms for those moving to London for the first time- the agents also speak Italian & Spanish which is useful for internationals too :) Thanks Andrea!

Just wanted to make a special mention of the CityRooms agent that assisted my partner and I in moving back into one of our old flat. Thomas was exceptionally efficient and helpful, he was always available when needed and added a personal touch to all advice and help. Phenominal service from city rooms. As an experienced landlord with multiple properties, having a firm like city rooms not only takes away all the daily hassles of tenant liaison, add hoc repairs etc but also so reassuring to know they are exceptionally professional and ALWAYS pay their rent when it’s due. In particular a special mention to Maristella who has handled my tenants and at times my contractors exceptionally well. If you’re a landlord, I strongly recommend you engage with city rooms.

Sun & Zhou Limited own CityRooms. Mr Xingjian Zhou, a rogue landlord was previously fined by the council as it says on many websites. It all makes sense now why this company has such bad ratings. Many have written here about complaining to the Ombudsman, Trading standards, the PRS, council, etc. They seem shady and protect themselves at all costs, while making money from hard working tenants! Beware, once you are with them, its a downward spiral to hell. Their agreement favours them a lot hardly leaving the tenants with any choice! Save your mental peace and avoid them at all costs! My friend is going through a very bad time with them. No cleanliness, mould, damp, being unresponsive about issues,etc. But they will make all efforts to charge you from the deposit. You will literally end up losing your money.They don’t do end of tenancy cleaning, and if the new tenant complains about cleanliness, they charge cleaning fee from the previous tenant’s deposit! But they still don’t clean! There is a lot more to say about their scam! You can write an entire newspaper article about how they loot you!

Got treated by an amazingly professional and responsive agent, Nico, and a super helpful lettings manager, Giovanni. I was in a rush to get a room for 6 months in London and Nico was able to sort everything out from start to end in a matter of hours, despite the tight timeframe. When I also had to move out on a very short notice, Giovanni was there to quickly provide superb assistance and helped me sort it out very fairly despite the short notice! Overall, a very professional and polite team, everything from the receptionist to the lettings manager, looking forward to rent with again in the future.

Excellent customer service and fast responses. After only recently signing a contract renting a room with City Rooms, I can only applaud their service. Dhillon was very helpful in my search of a property in London, especially at a time where demand was high and it was hard to find rooms. Without his help, I would've likely not been able to find a room. Maristella also provided quick and attentive support whenever I raised any issues with the flat. These were resolved within days to a highly satisfactory level. Irrespective of existing reviews, my experience with City Rooms so far has been very good, and I would rent with them again.

I trusted them when I saw the nice pictures they showed me only to find out that the place was full of crack heads and the pictures misleading! I moved in and out the same day and they kept the deposit and partial monthly rent! I still cannot believe they are able to operate legally!!!! They are fraud !!! Giovanni is the worst! He forced me to sign an agreement and tried to explain to me that all flats in london would look like this!!

Pablo has been very understanding with my change of circumstances, and therefore having to pull out of a tenancy agreement, after giving a holding deposit of £270, Pablo understood my situation and refunded me my holding deposit within 48 hours! , I cannot stress enough how much he has helped me in this situation under a very stressful time for me, they are a credit to cityrooms and I will always give recommendation for the experience I have had with cityrooms, because of my interaction with Pablo. I haven't even rented the room to experience terrible service from the City Room agency. Reading about all of those horrible experiences people had with this company just now, I'm glad I haven't ended up renting. I scheduled a viewing for one of their flats to find out that the agent named Dhillon was never about to show up. When I arrived at the location on our scheduled date, one of the tenants opened the door and didn't know what was happening. She didn't want to let me in because no one gave her a notice that the viewing will be held and the agent wasn't there. Obviously, it wasn't her fault and she tried to contact him with me, but he wasn't answering. After a while, he read my message that I'm waiting for him and responded that unfortunately, he 'couldn't find the right keys'. If I hadn't called him a bunch of times and sent messages, he would never reach out to me and I could stand there for hours. He proposed rescheduling for the next day (as I was still at the doors!!), but, as you probably already guessed, it didn't work out. He claimed that the tenant is working from home that day and wasn't picking up, but he'll let me know asap at what time to come to the viewing. After that, he ghosted me for days and when I finally asked what is happening, he kindly informed me that the room cannot be rented anymore because the tenant is renewing the contract. Of course, he apologised that he didn't let me know sooner as if he was planning to contact me ever again. Overall, it seems like they don't care about people and don't mind wasting your time as long as the room is rented and the money's rolling. If renting with them looks anything like my experience with this agent, I STRONGLY RECOMMEND TO AVOID CITY ROOMS FOR YOUR OWN GOOD. Don't waste your time.
